Why is this happening? Why am I unable to move normally? I can’t even move my eyes and I’m just stuck looking straight ahead!

It also doesn’t seem like it was just limited to the people in the arena because the people in the stands were also not moving at all!

And yet, the Karen group was just strolling up to us like nothing? What is–

“[Acceleration]!!” Ather’s voice suddenly came from my side.

The air around us seemed to shift and I found myself able to move normally again, though the people in the crowd still remained still.

The girls seemed to be surprised for some reason and the Karen group had also stopped in their tracks to stare at us with wide eyes.

“Did they just teleport forward?” Lisa muttered.

Emilia lowered herself while tightening her grip on her sword, “They must be able to move really fast then.”

“But why stop there?” Delmare pointed out.

“Err… Is it just me or is everyone else not moving?” Odeta asked, gesturing at the crowd.

“Their leader is a Chronomancer. She slowed everything down in here. You girls should hurry while I can still speed us up to counter it,” Ather explained casually, not even looking worried.

Oh, right… I completely forgot about that… Katsuki had even reported that to me but… Hey, I was occupied with the girls ok? Can you blame me?!

Anyway, I think we figured out how these Karens won against their opponents… The leader simply used her Chronomancy to slow down time or something when the fight starts then their entire group goes ahead and beat them up to win.

They don’t even need any flashy skills at all to beat those parties they challenged and they were clearly planning on doing it to us as well.

I bet they thought this would just happen the same way as it did the previous times so they had already set up the stage ahead of time with that belief.

“What… How… How are they able to move?” Karen let out a gasp while pointing a finger at us.

Ather narrowed her eyes at her, “Did you think you were the only one who has time magic?”

“That’s impossible!! I met God himself! We met God! We’re all special!! We’re different from uncivilised savages like you!”

Ather sighed, “Please… You’re not the only ones who met the God Drebann before you were sent to this World. Everyone from our World that was sent here also met him.”

“You… You shut up! You don’t know anything!”

Huh… She didn’t even catch the fact that Ather had said ‘our’ World.

Odeta cracked her knuckles, “Enough talk! We aren’t here to do that! We’re here to fight! And I want to fight!!”

My Amrap didn’t wait and leapt towards the group of karens with her fist raised.

It became quite clear that this group of women aren’t even used to people fighting back against them because two of them immediately turned to run away while almost half of the remainder simply stood there to stare at Odeta lunging towards them.

The only ones who reacted were the leader, the four we had met and that really tall karen.

If I had to guess, I believe these six were the ones who did all of the fighting and most likely also were the only ones who have gone out to fight monsters. The others probably just did nothing and leeched off the efforts of them.

Funny how even in their group, they’re basically also trying to out karen each other.

The larger sized one ran forward to intercept Odeta, punching out her fist at the same time as her.

Their punches met in the middle and a shockwave blasted outwards from under their feet.

I thought that it might end up being a draw but Odeta completely dominated her as the larger sized karen got flung back and ended up crashing into the two women that tried to run away at the start.

Emilia and Delmare dashed forward to join Odeta, prompting the rogue and the swordswoman karens to rush forward to intercept them.

Emilia’s katana clashed against the rogue’s daggers while Delmare deflected a downward sword swing from the swordswoman, both of them locking themselves in a fierce melee.

Their healer was working over time in healing and buffing them because it was clear that Emilia was faster than the rogue and while Delmare didn’t have the same strength as the swordswoman, she had way better technique after the years of experience she had fighting with her rapier.

On the other hand… I wasn’t even buffing them since there wasn’t a need to and I was more concerned about the mage creating another huge fireball like what she did yesterday.

“Katsuki, get the mage,” I instructed.

She disappeared from where she stood and I was expecting her to slit her throat or something since this arena had the same enchantment of preventing deaths while in the arena.

But contrary to that, she had chosen to punch her in her abdomen instead and sent the woman flying back, crashing into one of the other karens that had just been standing there gaping at the fight happening in front of her.

Lisa grinned at that, “Heh, I see. They had their fun beating up people with their leader’s Chronomancy magic, so obviously we have to do the same thing to them as well!”

Hmm… That’s a great idea!

“Ather, how long can you maintain this spell?” I asked.

She paused for a moment, “Hmm… At this rate of consumption… It feels like maybe another five minutes or so.”

I took off my Arcane Ring, the one that I had looted off the dead body of the Off-Worlder that tried to kill me forever ago when I was still a child and handed it to her.

“Here, this increases your mana regeneration. Should help you keep it going for longer.”

She looked at the ring for a moment before looking back at me, “I can’t take that, Miss Aster.”

“Oh, I’m not giving it to you, I’m lending it, of course.”

She shook her head, “That’s not the problem. It has been on your finger. If I take it now and place it on mine, I will definitely lose my mind over it.”

Eh? Why would you… Nevermind, I don’t think I want to know…

Well… If she doesn’t want to use this…

I took out several bottles of mana potions from my bangle.

I don’t have a use for these at all since I have so many Mana Crystals to replenish my mana from but they are in case of emergency and also for my girls since they can’t replenish their mana using Mana Crystals like I can.

Plus… Lisa would usually just make a few bottles of them as practice for herself and also as extra things to sell for pocket money when we are in the city.

“Here, use these then,” I offered her.

She looked at the potion bottles that I had just dumped in front of her, “You… How do you have so many potions?”

“Eh? Didn’t I tell you? Lisa is an alchemist. A Tier three alchemist in fact. She can easily make these potions if she has the right ingredients and we have a lot of them.”

“With this many… Hmm… Huhuhu… I can keep this spell up and even fight alongside everyone as well without worrying about conserving my mana. Go ahead, Miss Aster~”

She immediately picked up one and chugged one down while I turned to the girls that were still on the front lines.

“Girls! Go ahead and beat them up! No need to hold back!” I called out.

Upon hearing my words, the atmosphere around them immediately changed.

Emilia and Delmare put away their weapons to the confusion of their opponents.

Yet, they obviously weren’t going to let that chance pass them as they lunged towards my Nekomata and Siren.

Big mistake bitches.

Light enveloped them as I cast [Strength] on all of my girls.

Emilia was already faster than the rogue so she merely dodged her strike and kicked her in the side, sending the woman flying away.

Delmare simply reached out and caught the blade of her opponent with her hand before immediately delivering an elbow strike to her abdomen and sending her flying away.

The others also began charging forward to find one of them to start their beatdown while I went directly for the leader herself.

With how she was maintaining the Chronomancy spell, she wasn’t able to cast any other spells to defend herself. Even if she did release it, we were under Ather’s [Acceleration] spell so they would end up being helpless and stuck in time instead so she was literally helpless in front of me.

And since she had obviously specced herself to be a spellcaster instead of a fighter, there was no way for her to defend against this.

I appeared in front of her, raising my hand high up into the air to make sure she had a clear view of what I was about to do…

And then I delivered a backhanded slap across her face.
