The silence after Li Bo’s defeat was so deep, one could hear the faint whistle of the wind sweeping through the arena stands.
Li Bo’s body lay groaning in a crater twenty feet deep, his bronze aura sputtering like a broken lantern.
And in the center, Kent stood in his usual posture—hands behind his back, a faint smirk playing on his lips, as if he were on a stroll in a morning market rather than inside the most intense challenge ring in the Immortal World.
Across from him, four disciples circled like wolves.
Yi Zhao, his fire spear now coated in a red-gold aura.
Mu Yang, her expression grim, fan trembling with wind talismans.
Wu Shen, covered in a granite-like skin, veins glowing with mountain qi.
Zi Han, blades whistling at her side, twin swords blazing with sun-reflected fury.
Each one of them was a monster in their own right—young elites trained by the greatest sects of the immortal realm. They were pride, fury, legacy, and ambition wrapped in deadly forms.
And Kent?
Kent was… cracking his neck like a bored bachelor who had just been woken from a nap.
“Right then,” he said, giving them a thumbs-up. “Let’s make this quick. I have many things to finish.”
The crowd, still too stunned to cheer, began murmuring in disbelief.
“Is he… is he mocking them?”
“Who even is this guy?”
“Wait, I thought he was just some spirit pool cleaner…”
Elder Hua nearly spat out his herbal wine. “How dare he?! That brat’s arrogance is unmatched!”
Elder Jin wiped his forehead. “He took out Li Bo with one punch! We underestimated him…”
Meanwhile, Elder Liam slowly rose from the ground, awe dawning on his face.
Up above, the Immortal Pool Master hadn’t moved, yet the corner of his lip curled upward in faint satisfaction.
Wu Shen roared, shaking the tiles beneath him.
He stomped forward, arms bulging, and slammed both palms into the earth.
“Mountain Binding Vault!”
Twelve pillars of jade rock exploded from the ground, racing toward Kent in a circular pattern. At the same time, Mu Yang raised her fan.
“Wind Snake Bind!”
From the fan, a shimmering serpent of green wind rushed forward, wrapping around the pillars, forming a tornado cage, faster than sight.
From above—
Yi Zhao roared. “Sun Flare Lance!”
His spear grew tenfold, coated in golden sun essence, and descended like divine punishment.
And between it all, Zi Han vanished.
Her body flickered—Floating Cloud Steps—and from the wind cage itself, she passed like a ghost, her blades whispering through the air.
All four techniques closed in on Kent with devastating timing.
The audience leapt to their feet. Some disciples were shaking with excitement.
“Even if he’s strong—this is four prime disciples at once!”
“Even monsters can’t dodge that!”
But Kent?
He just scratched his chin.
“You forgot rule number one,” he muttered.
“I’m fast.”
–
CRASH!
All four attacks landed simultaneously.
The tornado dome twisted violently as the mountain pillars struck, wind serpent squeezed, solar spear blasted from above, and blades sliced through like a guillotine.
A brilliant explosion erupted, dust and divine qi swirling into the clouds.
The very arena floor cracked under the pressure.
From afar, the protective formation of the arena dome flickered. Elders tensed.
“Too much force!”
“Lower disciples need protection!”
“Where’s the boy?!”
–
As the dust slowly cleared, a figure emerged from the center.
Not in the crater. Not bleeding. Not injured.
But standing casually on top of one of the stone pillars.
It was Kent.
His robe fluttered in the breeze. Not a scratch on him.
He lifted one leg slightly, showing his boot.
“Dusty,” he said, brushing it with a finger.
Then smiled.
“I counted three death traps and two tickles. Try harder.”
The four disciples froze.
They hadn’t even seen him move.
Yi Zhao’s spear trembled. “How did he… dodge the Flare Lance?”
Mu Yang’s breath hitched. “He… countered Wind Snake? It was bound to the mountain pillars…”
Zi Han’s blades were trembling, as if uncertain of their target.
Wu Shen’s stone arms cracked slightly.
That was it.
The final straw.
Yi Zhao exploded forward, abandoning strategy.
“You arrogant fraud! Die!”
He thrust his spear, flames wrapping around his body.
Kent didn’t dodge.
He waited.
Then casually raised one finger.
The spear stopped.
Mid-air.
Everyone blinked.
The spearhead was caught between Kent’s two fingers like a chopstick trick.
Yi Zhao’s body trembled. His spiritual qi surged—
Kent twisted.
SNAP.
The spear broke in half.
Yi Zhao’s body followed it, flung backward, rolling through the dust, coughing up fire.
Next was Wu Shen, who charged with a thunderous step, arms wide.
“Mountain Slam!”
Kent side-stepped him like a bullfighter.
Then tapped Wu Shen lightly behind the neck.
“Sleep tight.”
Wu Shen groaned… and collapsed like a tree, snoring before he hit the ground.
Zi Han and Mu Yang stood together now, backs pressed.
Mu Yang chanted an icy spell.
Zi Han spun her blades defensively.
Kent just chuckled.
Then vanished.
Literally—his body rippled like water and disappeared.
A chill passed over Mu Yang’s back. Zi Han turned instinctively.
Too late.
Kent stood between them.
He gave them both a wink.
“Ever heard of double knock-out?”
BANG. THUMP.
Both girls landed side by side outside the arena bounds, groaning.
The arena fell into stunned silence.
Then one voice shouted—
“ALL FIVE DEFEATED!”
“HE DEFEATED ALL FIVE PRIME DISCIPLES!”
“ALONE!”
The crowd erupted.
Thunderous claps, roaring cheers, disciples jumping and shaking-shoulders.
The arena still echoed with cheers as Kent descended the stone pillar like a casual-wanderer. The five disciples he had just defeated lay scattered across the ring—groaning, dazed, and utterly humbled.
Elder Liam walked with a spring in his step, clapping his hands as he neared Kent. His face was lit with excitement and pride, as if he were a father watching his son reach the peak of glory.
He turned and cupped his fists toward the high-platform.
“Master! Did you see it? What more proof do we need? Kent is clearly above all five. He must be made Prime Disciple immediately!”
