Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 733 - 733: The Competition (1) [Bonus]Kent stood on one side, surrounded by five Half-Elves, with a look of both excitement and weariness in their eyes. This was all they had been waiting for since the announcement was made months ago.
Numbers 4 and 897 stood in the arena, maintaining a distance of 30 meters between them.
“Lord Yael has already stated the rules. Only use fire and no other skills. This means you have to have a good handle on the flame you possess, and everything will be fine,” the match official said, and the two ladies nodded.
“You may begin.”
The moment he gave the command, the number 4 lady raised her hand, and flame surged, forming into a thick spear. She gestured forward, and the spear moved.
However, number 897 wasn’t standing there idly either. She formed a large shield made of fire and sent it flying toward the spear. The two collided, creating an infernal shockwave.
Cheers rang out, witnessing such a fierce start in a battle that was about to end. Just one clash, but the winner became obvious
Kent stood far from the battlefield, but the moment he saw the shield appear, he knew number 897 would win. Naturally, she had more control over her fire and was also brilliant.
When the lady formed the spear, for a split second, the shield lady made a subtle move with her leg. It was slight, but she managed to form the shield before it was noticeable.
That subtle move was a whole different skill on its own, one that manifested right when the spear and the shield met. The shockwave was the smoke screen needed to reveal that skill.
The moment the infernal shockwave rippled through the arena, the subtle leg movement became clear to everyone.
Number 897’s footwork shifted with precision, barely perceptible but enough to channel the flame energy coursing through her body.
From the edge of the fiery shield, a sudden burst of scorching fire spiraled outward in a twisting vortex — a concealed technique known as the “Ember Whirlwind.”
The spinning flame cut through the smoky haze created by the impact, aiming directly at number 4.
Caught off guard by the rapid shift in attack, number 4 barely managed to raise her spear to defend.
The spear’s tip clashed against the swirling vortex, but the overwhelming heat and force were just too much. The spear melted and fragmented under the relentless blaze.
Before she could recover, the Ember Whirlwind surged forward, knocking her off balance and sending her flying out of the stage.
Cheers rang out for Number 897.
“I knew Ember’s technique was awesome, but to think she had mastered it to this stage already, she is a genius,” one of the Half-Elves beside Kent said, shaking his head.
“She spent most of her time hunting inside the Flame Valley, so she got creative, and that clearly manifested just now.”
Everyone was happy for Ember’s progress. The battle lasted less than a minute, but it was enough to demonstrate to everyone what she was capable of.
After Number 4 and Number 897 left the stage, Numbers 78 and 89 entered. This time, they were men. Their battle lasted for three minutes because they were able to counter each other’s attacks.
But in the end, Number 78 won. More battles happened after that. Within four hours, over 400 battles took place. Most of the battles ended in under a minute, considering how creative some of the fighters had become with their attacks.
Eventually, it was the turn of one of the geniuses everyone knew of… Madea. They said she was the genius among the younger generation…
—
(Number 1003 vs. Madea)
Madea is a beautiful, brown-haired lady with perfect facial features and an athletic body. She has brown eyes and is clad in brown, form-fitting leather armor. Naturally, that armor accentuated her shape, revealing to everyone that she was both a genius and a seducer.
She walked calmly and stood opposite a young man who held a spear. The moment he saw Madea, he smiled weakly.
“Let’s have a good fight, big sister Madea.”
Madea smiled and nodded.
“Begin.”
The moment the signal was given, the young man moved, flames lighting his spear as he spun it. When he got close to Madea, he stabbed forward, sending a replica of the spear made purely from flame at her.
However, the brown-eyed lady smiled and waved her hand, sending out a spear of her own. The two collided, creating a shockwave.
However, Madea’s spear was much more robust, so after a few struggles, the young man’s spear was obliterated. Madea’s spear surged and exploded in front of the young man’s face, knocking him out of the arena.
The battle was over before it even began.
More battles followed afterwards. Eventually, the top geniuses had their chance to display why they were the best in Elarion.
Kent remained seated, watching them all. To him, taking out his sword to use the flame with it would be too much.
However, aside from the Elemental Overlord, where he could conjure any beast out of his flame element with a slash of his sword, he didn’t have any other flame skills.
Over the past hours, after watching over 300 battles, Kent was concerned that utilizing any of his skills would discourage others. So, he was left to decide what to do. Which skill to use that won’t turn out to be an overkill…
Eventually, a smile appeared on his face…
‘During the Chaos battle back then, one of the Great Family heads used a flame skill to manifest weapons. I guess I will do that.’
After a few back-and-forth moments, he arrived at a solution—an unusual one, but one that came from the Primordial Era.
More battles happened.
Exactly five hours into the battle, Kent’s number was called. He walked toward the stage with calm steps. He was paired with a handsome Half-Elf named Gijion—one handsome fellow with big dreams.
The moment Kent stepped onto the stage, everyone’s eyes were on him. Queen Jascia’s eyes narrowed, wanting to see if what her husband told her about Kent was right.
Of course, the king just sat there, knowing full well that the human his wife and daughter were paying attention to was a monster in human form.
Kent faced his opponent, who, just like him, also held no weapon. ‘Sorry, friend, but you will be washing out today.’ Kent said inwardly
“Begin.”
The moment the command was given, Gijion moved, and Kent raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Up in the air, a hundred golden flame arrows appeared, immediately halting Gijion in his tracks.
Everyone gasped.
