Even though the war had officially ended and the Celestials had worked hard to keep a good relations with the humans by healing them, not everyone was satisfied with the outcome that happened.
Of course, most could see the efforts and kindness the Celestials had provided to the people of Ress but the ones who were actually the most unhappy happened to be the aides closest to the King.
The Commando Mages.
By the time the Celestials wished to return to their home plane, the Commando Mages made one more big fuss saying that their actions had not placated their anger for the death of their Ex Commando Leader, No 4, done by the hands of Lord Vishnu. However, Jin believed that it was mainly because they did not see action as promised by him.
This was mainly due to the fact that there were changes to Jin's plans to make sure the circle of hatred did not continue and the chance to penetrate into the Celestial entertainment market. So, since there was a personal goal involved in this peace making 'contract', Jin could not possibly reveal it to these Commando Mages, knowing that they might react strongly against it.
This notion was further cemented when the King of Ress saw how Krishna had attacked despite the implementation of the ceasefire as he was blinded by hatred of the death of his supposed brothers.
Although things ultimately went back to normal for Krishna when all of the Celestials that had been killed were revived through means that even the Celestials had some suspicions about (Jin did state that it was a trade secret), the Commando Mages were not able to have a similar treatment like the Celestials.
In fact, they questioned their King despite the disrespect, asking why No.4 is not able to be revived and their admired hero told them that the Celestials were an entity of a different caliber. Unlike humans, they had other traits that enabled the ease of resurrection without any side effects.
However, this could not be said the same for the humans...or that's what he tried to convince them. After all, he could not go around and tell his subjects that the Celestials were able to be revived because the original System was with him at that point in time while for No.4, he did not have such a luxury. Questions would ensue and he might garner more hate just by telling the truth.
Thus, all he could do was to tell a white lie, and in a way some truth partial to the matter. Yet, because of this and despite exhausting ways to keep things under wraps, the Commando Mages were not able to accept it.They even tried to get in contact with the Grand Magus and the Royal General to be on their side. However, as much as they pity the Commando Leaders' death, they are not able to help much in the situation as well.
It was to the point that the System was telling Jin through silent monitoring that the Commando Mages might be planning something sinister that would jeopardise the current state of relations with the Celestials.
That was when Jin sighed, thinking that he might finally have a day of quiet rest he called the Commando Mages out. All 9 of them were right in front of him in his office. "I noticed that there are still some people holding their grudge and portraying poor sentiments against the Celestials."
No.8, the current Commando Mage Leader came forward and admitted, while reiterating the case for not being able to sortie. "It seems like this matter will never end or rest until you arrogant people have your fill, is it not?" Jin asked with a slight temper in his voice and before No.4 was able to say her opinion or attempted to disagree with him, the King of Ress continued.
"So, in lieu of all of these. I am giving you a chance. A chance to bloody prove to yourself that you can exact your revenge. Jin said as he revealed a portal entrance right in front of them.
"This is the dungeon instance that I had created just for this occasion. Right here is currently where the so called eternal enemy of yours is staying. Defeat his minions and subsequently put him down to the ground.
If you can do that in less than 10 tries, I will ask the Celestials to provide you with a suitable head for you to kill." Jin said as he flicked his wrist and a piece of bullet with an Anti Celestial compound coating on it.
"And you are not allowed to use this. Just your magical powers and the skills you had acquired throughout this one year." Jin gave his condition and that in turn caused all of them to think that this would become an impossible task. "Worry not. While I had disabled the possibly strongest weapon in your arsenal for killing Celestials, my dungeon instance had tweaked the powers of Lord Vishnu."
"You do not need to use any Anti Celestial compound to break his shield as his circuits had been adjusted to pour out the very same magical powers that all of you are wielding."
"How can we believe you" was something within a few of the Commando Mages' minds but they had worked with Jin long enough to understand that he does not work in such sly ways. When he said that he gave the stick, there was a carrot to it as well.
"Very well. Are you saying we can go in to smack the shit out of the God of Preservation and all you are going to do is to observe?" No.8 asked which Jin replied with a nod of his head.
"And the Celestials too. To see whether you bring honour or disappointment to Ress, since you are dying to flaunt your expertise to the Celestials. Besides, they need to see it to willingly allow you to bring a Celestial's head down for you guys to keep as a trophy, right?"
"You make it sound as if we had already agreed to this deal," Kalki said as she suddenly revealed herself from the side of the King's office window. "But I accept. I cannot believe that Lord Vishnu can be killed so easily by these few rascals."
"What about me?" Jin smiled cheekily and Kalki did not reply. This is not because it is a passing remark but because Jin never reveals his true strength despite stories of him struggling with the duel against Lord Vishnu.
