With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1135 - 1135: A lonely god (2)

So while Dungeon Core 563’s party took care of sweeping through the room, Lin Fan swept across the room with his spiritual sense.

Now that he was in the room, he was able to use his spiritual sense again.

As he had thought, the power that was at the door was something that isolated the inside of the temple from the outside. So once he was inside, his spiritual sense was no longer affected by that strange power and he was able to use it again.

But even though both Dungeon Core 563’s party and Lin Fan searched the room in their own special way, they just couldn’t find a single thing off about this place.

The more that they searched, the more that they knitted their brows.

After all, it felt like there wasn’t a single trap in this place.

But they didn’t believe that this was the case…

If they couldn’t find a trap with their methods, that just meant that these traps were hidden with a method that they couldn’t see through. If that was the case, that meant that this place was even more dangerous than they thought.

“We should leave this place.” Dungeon Core 563 said in a serious voice.

This was different from how she agreed to come in here before.

Now that they had confirmed that this place was dangerous, she didn’t want to stay in this place for a second longer. The longer that they remained in this place, the more danger that they would be in.

That was why it was natural that Dungeon Core 563 and her party wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

But Lin Fan couldn’t help hesitating.

It wasn’t that he didn’t know that this place was dangerous, it was just that when the fragment of a god was in front of him like this…

Well, it was hard for him to accept giving it up that easily. He really wanted to see if it was possible to get this fragment from the pedestal that was in front of him.

In the end, Lin Fan said, “Alright, let’s leave.”

While he did want this thing, that didn’t mean that he was willing to risk his life like this for it.

After weighing the pros and cons, Lin Fan decided that it was simply too dangerous to try and take this god’s fragment.

There were too many unknown things here after all.

Even if it felt like it was a waste to leave this thing…

Dungeon Core 563 and her party seemed relieved to hear this and they turned to leave.

It was just that this moment of hesitation was a mistake, one that would cost them quite a bit. After all, right as they turned to leave, there was this strange force that appeared around them.

Dungeon Core 563 tried charging forward to grab the door when she felt this strange force appear, but it stopped her from reaching that door. This strange force created this barrier that cut the door off from the rest of the room.

When that happened, Dungeon Core 563 didn’t hesitate to raise her hand to shoot out a beam of flames at the door.

Only no matter how she tried, she wasn’t able to do a single thing to the barrier that was blocking them. It just took the flames and scattered them without so much as a single scratch on the barrier or the door.

Dungeon Core 563 knitted her brows when she saw this, but she didn’t stop releasing her flames.

Instead of shooting the flames at the door, she raised her hand and started shooting the flames at the wall to see if there were any weak spots. But no matter how she tried attacking the walls of this place, she just wasn’t able to do a single thing to them.

It seemed that this barrier was just too strong for her.

Even when the other girls in Dungeon Core 563’s party started attacking, they still couldn’t do anything.

None of these girls were weak, they were all S Rank Adventurers after all.

But even with them working together, they just couldn’t scratch the barrier or the wall.

While they were doing this, Lin Fan couldn’t help knitting his brows and sending out his spiritual sense once more.

There were two things that he confirmed with his spiritual sense.

One was that this wall had the same aura as the god’s fragment that was on the pedestal.

Two was that this barrier was the same power that had prevented him from sending his spiritual sense into the room earlier.

With these two things confirmed, he could tell that there was something related to a god here that was in control of all of this.

Did that mean that this was the trap?

As this thought passed through his mind, Lin Fan reached out to grab Dungeon Core 563’s shoulder before saying to her and her party, “Alright, that’s enough. There’s no point in wasting your energy when it’s clear that you can’t break out. You need to conserve your energy to find a way out of this place.”

All of them narrowed their eyes to glare at Lin Fan when they heard this.

The way that they looked at him was as if they were blaming him for what happened.

Though in a way, it wasn’t as if they were wrong to blame him for this.

If it wasn’t for Lin Fan’s greed and hesitation, then they would have left this place as soon as they realized that it was a trap. Then perhaps they would have been able to leave this place before this barrier appeared.

But it was already too late to blame him since they were now trapped like rats.

Right now, it was imperative that they work together to find a way out of this place.

Only before any of them could even react, there was a voice that said, “Are you really leaving that soon?”

As soon as they heard this, they couldn’t help knitting their brows.

As soon as they heard this, they recognized the voice that just rang out.

It was the same voice that rang out when they opened the door.

Dungeon Core 563 and Lin Fan looked at each other as if they were trying to see if either person knew what was happening, but they could also see that neither of them had a clue.

So in the end, Lin Fan asked, “Who are you?”

“Who am I? I am Uri.”

“Huh?” Dungeon Core 563’s party and Lin Fan were all shocked and confused when they heard this.

A proper answer like this was the last thing that they had expected from this voice.

But Lin Fan immediately came back to his senses and asked, “Uri? Is that your name?”

“That’s right. Uri is Uri.”

The way that this voice responded, it was almost as if it was a child that they were talking to.

Lin Fan couldn’t help looking around the room to see if he could find the one that was talking, but it didn’t seem like there was anything or anyone here. In fact, the voice almost seemed like it came from all around them at the same time.

It was as if the voice was echoing from nowhere…

Lin Fan turned back to look at Dungeon Core 563, but she shook her head.

She couldn’t tell where this voice was coming from either.

“Why are you looking around like that? Uri is right here.”

As soon as this was said, there was a light that came from in front of them.

The moment that they saw the thing that this light was coming from, they couldn’t help revealing strange looks.

It was because the light was coming from the statue on the pedestal.

Lin Fan and Dungeon Core 563 looked at each other once more, but they could tell that neither of them knew what was happening. In fact, they could tell what either person was thinking and they couldn’t help denying it.

After all, if what they were thinking was true…

Well, it seemed like it was too far-fetched of a story no matter how they looked at it.

But Lin Fan took the risk by asking, “Uri, are you in the statue?”

“That’s right. Is something wrong?”

The next question that Lin Fan asked was the one that was the most important question.

“Uri, are you a god?”

“That’s right. I am the God of Loneliness.”

Shocked looks appeared on the faces of everyone present as they stared at the statue.

Even though the voice had confirmed this, it was a bit too hard for them to believe it.

But even if they didn’t want to believe it, it was hard to refute it when the facts were in front of them like this. At the same time, this would be the only explanation to what had happened to them so far.

However, the fact that there was a god in front of them…

This was far more dangerous than either Lin Fan or Dungeon Core 563 thought.

While it seemed like the voice of the god was friendly, there was no telling what this god really wanted from them. It could all be a deception to make them let their guards down before taking care of them.

Only they then thought of something…

“If a god really wanted to kill us, would they go through all this trouble? A god could easily take care of us with a single snap of their fingers if they wanted…”

The more that they thought about it, the more confused they were about what this God of Loneliness wanted…
