The Primordial Record

Chapter 1268: The Limit Of Infinity(1)

The books floating around Rowan were massive thousand-page tomes that were made from thin metallic sheets, six of them were colored blue, the seventh was black, the eighth was green and the ninth was gold.

The Aura from the nine books were distinct, the first six blue ones blazed with the powers of Ascendancy, the seventh was Calamity, the eighth belonged to the green Aura that encircled this realm that the Reflection of Rowan could not understand, and the last belonged to the soul Aura of that Reflections, it burning gold color a representation of the power that he was able to understand.

Rowan whispered to himself, "Nine books, nine Supreme Circles, it is nearly completed."

The road to get to this point had truly been an epic one, and it was something that he had no assurance would succeed but with stubbornness and the unflinching belief in his capabilities, he embarked on this madness.

It began the moment Rowan was about to embark outside the universe to start the next journey on his way up the path of power. Caine the firstborn of Chaos had come to him and painted a picture of the full nature of reality.

Rowan was sure that he had embellished many great details to serve his agenda, but there was enough truth in what he was saying that made Rowan concerned.

Caine told Rowan of the full scope of reality, he told him about the Great Darkness and the myriad of powers that were linked to it, he told him of the unshakable powers of the Primordial and how he chose to defy that power by fighting against the tyranny of his father, and how Rowan had no choice but to fight with him in this battle because in comparison to what Rowan had been able to achieve, what Caine had done paled in comparison.

Rowan had not broken past the threshold of his bloodline as Caine had first thought, no he had done something that was far more crazy, he had somehow been able to cleanse his bloodline of Chaos's Intent.

Intent was the foundation of reality, and space itself, and as long as you existed inside of reality, then you must utilize Intent, for other life forms that utilized Intent, they all had connections with Chaos, even if they were not aware, it was a known secret that all facets of reality was in a shape of form related to the powers of Primordials, and this was considered normal.

The light that touched all of reality came from the Celestials, Luck and Dreams came from the Eldar and many other integral pieces of reality that were in one shape or form tied to Primordials.

To be the blood of Chaos and carry his Intent was another separate case that was far more profound, and Caine even in his wildest dreams had not considered it to be possible, he had once thought he would only be free of the Intent of Chaos if the Primordial became fully banished behind the Gates of Oblivion, the same way that Soul was banished which effectively ended her influence in the higher realms.

If Chaos could be similarly banished then Caine who was a higher dimensional being should be able to rid himself of this Intent, and so Rowan became a resource that he needed to exploit, and Caine felt that the best method to place Rowan under his banner was to show him the cruelty of the Primordials and the method they dealt with those with the slightest potential to challenge their reign.

Among the many tales told to him by Chaos, one stood out above the rest, it was about the Eternals and the realm they controlled.

The firstborn of Chaos told Rowan about the Eternal Realms and the tragedy that befell them. All children of Primordials, the Eternals had fallen when their parents began to fear their potential, few knew the reason for the Primordial War, but Caine was among the few who understood why the Primordials ended that Era, it was because they wanted to wipe out the Eternal Realms.

Rowan had listened to this horror story and he forged a pact with Caine to help resolve the issue of Intent, in return, Caine would protect him while he was still weak, and give Rowan the means to gather allies and dominions to aid his growth to power.

This was a pact that Rowan did not put any meaningful effort into, because while Caine was worrying about Intent, Rowan had a far greater fear, which was his living dimension and what would happen to him when he reached the fourth dimension.

At the third dimension, Rowan had seized the Will of an entire universe and embodied its concepts, and now if he became a fourth-dimensional being Rowan knew that seizing the Will of one Universe would not be enough, what if at that time, his dimension chose to seize the Will of the ultimate representation of the fourth dimension which was the Great Darkness? At that time it was not just the fact that Rowan had been able to banish his Intent that would alarm Chaos, if he was also able to steal the Great Darkness then the Primordial would go insane and it was unknown if Chaos would break the chains that bound him just to hunt down Rowan.

Rowan refused to be stuck in place, even though he might be going against would-be Primordials, he did not want to remain as a third-dimensional being forever.

His vast mind began to ponder on this problem, seeking solutions that would not only aid him

But make him thrive since he simply did not want to just survive.

Yet everything that he pursued led only to dead ends. There was no light at the end of the rainbow and no solution against fighting against a power with limitless reach and infinite might, and this caused Rowan to slowly go mad.

Surely it was only madness that could lead to what he attempted to do next.
