The siege attacks from the nation were warded off as the Kandrian Empire deployed not just Martial Sages but also technological defenses to shield the nation from the destructive sieges.
BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!
The sheer onslaught of attacks upon the Kandrian Empire proved to be intense, and yet also insufficient. The Martial Sages defended the Kandrian Empire with all their power as they deployed their own attacks and attackers upon the incoming ships.
What followed was surprisingly one-sided.
BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!
The Martial Sages began eliminating the incoming ships with almost playful ease, ravaging them with destructive Sage-level attacks that completely eviscerated them.
Naturally, many of the ships tried resisting.
Some turned to giant mechas in dwarven fashion.
The elves among them desperately manipulated the wood of the ships to defend and attack the Martial Sages, while the tekvores, therianthropes, and the evolutionaries threw themselves into battle.
And yet, while some of them had reached the Sage-level mark, they were simply unable to withstand the sheer onslaught that they experienced from the Martial Sages. Not a single Martial Sage was interested in messing around against the true world convoys anymore, not after the grim losses against the Evolutionary Army of Moridia.
They massacred most of the convoy while deliberately keeping the leaders alive to squeeze as much information from them as possible. They also kept what few ships they could preserve, eager to study alien technology and reverse engineer its principles.
They also took in as much as they could to have a bargaining chip in the event that the polity that had aggressed upon them contacted them with the intent of retrieving their prisoners of war.
However, the very moment the Martial Sages were done, they were sent for a brief time in the manifold for recovery before rapidly being deployed elsewhere to deal with all manner of newcomers to the continent.
Within a span of hours, the number of incoming fleets and convoys had hit the hundreds as the six initial invasions had burst upon the damn, causing countless more to follow suit. Part of it was, of course, the fear of missing out while their rivals, allies, and enemies moved forward.
By then, it became clear that the news of exotic matter on the Panama Continent had spread across the entirety of the true world.
Thus, they began receiving convoys from not just nations and polities but also independent organizations, companies, guilds, and even individuals who painstakingly traversed the waters of the Great Nam Ocean just to set foot and gain their hands on the exotic matter of the Panama Continent.
Perhaps the only good news was the fact that as the number of incoming parties increased, so did the proportion of them who came in peace.
Far away in the void of North-West Panama, Kane led a group of Martial Masters at the edge of the coast. The darkness of night only seemed to feed into the faint hints of the Gu poison that saturated heaven and earth in this cursed region.
Ever since Rui had adaptively evolved to Asmodeous’ poison by creating life that the poison could consume, the entire region was completely devoid of any new life within it. If not for the fact that this place was still part of the continent and needed to be protected from anybody trying to infringe upon it, they would never have entered this place voluntarily.
Then again, Kane would never have entered an intercontinental war against the true world if he had the option, but he had long learned that things hardly ever went the way that he might have wanted them to.
RUMBLE…
“There they are.” His green eyes sharpened as he spotted a convoy of ships converging upon the Panama Continent.
They had come to recognize the artistry and the craftsmanship of the dwarves in a short period of time, allowing them to instantly detect it in the exquisite and beautiful vessels that slowly drew upon the barren shores of North-West Panama.
A prominent coat of arms featuring a fanged hammer in a circle of leaves was plastered on the flag, which Kane promptly documented and reported back to the strategic command center of the Panamic Alliance.
The good news was that they had yet to attack, which was usually a sign that they had no intention of peace. The ships slowed as they reached the shores, and several tekvores, to their surprise, emerged from within the vessels.
They were markedly different from the tekvores of the Imperial Tekvorian Federation of the Continent of Acherialis.
There was a greater degree of uniformity in their technology as well as much greater aesthetic and craftsmanship. It appeared that the tekvores and the dwarves shared an almost symbiotic relationship with each other that allowed them to benefit from their affinity with technology.
The leader of the expedition slowly arrived before Kane before her mechanized voice spoke Panamic out of nowhere, albeit broken.
“We. Come. In. Peace.”
It was hardly fluid and resembled someone trying to read out the words of a language that they didn’t speak, but it was troubling that the citizens of the true world already had access to bits and pieces of their language.
Then again, they too had made significant strides in learning the languages of the true world.
Regardless, Kane almost groaned inwardly at the thought that he would need to begin the protocols that were to be followed once an intention for peace had been confirmed. He would much rather have a quick battle, send them all back to the true world, and continue with his missions.
He heaved a sigh. “One second.”
He picked up his commpad, calling up the strategic command center of the Panama Continent.
“Yeah, Kane here, we have another peaceful newcomer, so prepare a team of diplomats and send over the projection equipment and whatnot,” he heaved a sigh. “Yes, I will remain here until everything is cleared up.”
He shut his commpad, heaving a sigh as he turned around to the dumbfounded tekvores who simply gazed at him with a confused expression.
This was as pleasant an encounter with true world convoys as the Panamic Alliance could possibly hope.
