The Martial Unity

Chapter 3043 3043: The Dynamics and Logistics of Martial Collectivism

The Britannian Prime Minister had a point.

“The Kandrian Empire only transported a minority, even if substantial, to the Esocline Federation and did so instantaneously. Likewise, the Martial Masters returned instantaneously as well,” Prime Minister Edward continued. “For other nations, transferring Martial Artists would need to happen far in advance of the attack, leaving them more vulnerable. On top of that, as I mentioned, travel across the continent is not fast enough, so this plan is not viable for any Martial Artist aside from perhaps a Martial Sage.”

These were all valid criticisms that the Britannian Empire mounted against the Emperor of Harmony. Many gathered leaders across human civilization nodded seriously, agreeing with the pushback that the Britannian Prime Minister levied against his former archenemy.

Unfortunately for him, the Emperor of Harmony had already thought about this problem quite thoroughly.

“Your concerns are valid and sound,” Emperor Rael continued with a confident tone. “However, they are far from insurmountable or damning. In regard to the problem of transportation logistics, let me remind you that instantaneous transportation is not required. The Esocline Federation was alerted about the incoming entity about forty minutes prior to the attack itself. This means that as long as the transfer of Martial Artists occurs within this timeframe, it is possible to have all the necessary Martial Artists reach their target before an attack commences.”

The leaders of human civilization fell into thought as they realized the merit of the Emperor’s argument.

Indeed, with a forty minute forewarning with the satellite surveillance technology, they didn’t need to transfer Martial capital across the continent instantly. This drastically reduced the most severe compunctions that leaders had towards the collectivization of Martial capital.

Of course, forty minutes was still an absurdly small timeframe to cross the entire continent, but the technology already existed. The jets developed by the Esocline Federation for transporting Martial Sages to the Beast Domain and serving as their base was one such instance.

In general, technology had progressed greatly in the past century, making quicker transport across human civilization more feasible.

“Additionally, with the collectivization of intelligence with a True World Intelligence Organization that will constructively harness all of our intelligence capital, we will soon begin detecting attacks even sooner than we normally do. From forty minutes an hour. To eventually two hours. To perhaps even half a day,” the Emperor of Harmony pointed out keenly. “In other words, from this point on, the amount of forewarning we gain on impending attacks will only rise.”

The Britannian Prime Minister stirred at his words, deep in thought. “Your point has merit. But not enough to ameliorate the risks and difficulties of transporting Martial Artists across the entire continent. Especially when most of the continent has become infested with the esoterified extension of the Beast Domain.”

The Emperor of Harmony nodded. “Correct. But what you haven’t considered is the fact that a single vessel took forty minutes to travel from the true world to the Panama Continent. Based on preliminary evaluations and analysis of the foreign aircraft in the joint custody of the Esocline Federation and the Kandrian Empire, we can estimate that this vessel was likely more specialized for speed than for any other parameter of performance. Thus, we can conclude that proper full-blown invasions from the true world will take even longer to travel.”

This was another powerful argument in favor of collectivizing Martial reforms.

Larger convoys of vessels were slower than single vessels that were specialized for speed.

Thus, if the imperialist or colonialist powers of the true world truly intended to mount a full-scale invasion, the travel time would balloon far beyond merely forty minutes, giving human civilization even greater time to transfer Martial Artists across the entire continent.

This was a point that not even the Britannian Prime Minister could reject.

“Additionally, the Panamic Economic Corridor Network Initiative includes within it a high-speed transport system dedicated exclusively to shuttering Martial Artists across the continent,” the Emperor of Harmony informed them, waving his hand as the screen behind him lit up, portraying rough preliminary blueprint drafts of the proposed economic corridors.

It featured a railway-line-like transportation system fit with bogeys that were so small that only a single person could possible fit in them.

“The most powerful part about Martial Artists are that they are logistically very convenient,” the Emperor of Harmony continued. “They don’t require too much space to store or sustain. Thus, this Martial Bullet Transportation System sacrifices space, volume, and comfort for the sole sake of speed, allowing Martial Artists to be transported across the continent at unfathomable and extraordinarily high speeds. By our preliminary estimations…”

A confident smile emerged on his face.

“It should be possible to transport Martial Artists across the continent from any point between one and three hours.”

A wave of stunned murmurs washed across the leaders of human civilization.

“Among this audience are many Martial Artists,” the Emperor of Harmony remarked as he directed a sweeping gaze. “Indeed, much of human civilization is ruled by Martial Artists at all echelons. Would not being shackled to your location, despite your power, be quite freeing?”

The Martial Apprentices, Squires, and even Senior among the many tens of thousands of gathered leaders gathered in the virtual summit stirred with a complicated expression.

It was true that distance restricted Martial Artists, for traveling through human civilization would drain them of their power, leaving them vulnerable.

All long-term journeys across human civilization became an ultimatum between speed or security. With the proposed system of the Emperor of Harmony, Martial Artists would be able to have their cake and eat it.

Even though these Martial leaders knew that they ought not to base their decision based on their identities as Martial Artists, they simply couldn’t help but be thrilled by the possibilities of the proposed transportation system of the Emperor of Harmony.

The Emperor of Harmony could feel the tides changing in his favor as their resistance towards his proposal began melting away.

He was far too resourceful not to hammer the final nail in the coffin.

“That’s not all,” the Emperor of Harmony continued. “All nations that agree to this treaty shall receive absolute and total protection from the Kandrian Empire until the Economic Corridor Network is set up, an enterprise that will likely take many, many years even with all our industrial power at its full power.”
