Three hours after the duel with Klaus, every last one of his women and friends who had passed out woke up with slight headaches.
“Klaus, you are very wicked. Why did you use such an attack on us when you knew we aren’t that strong when our minds are put to the test?” Lucy pouted, now sitting on Klaus’s lap like a baby.
His ladies were gathered around him, and his friends were also seated with their women nearby. It was a fine afternoon for Klaus and his companions.
“How else am I going to know if I don’t try it? And from the results, it seems I have a lot of work to do to turn you all into elites.
As warriors, you must have mental, soul, and physical fortification. All of you, except Nia, lack that. You’re basically asking to be killed at any moment,” Klaus explained, prompting sighs from the group. Discover exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire
“Are we that weak?” Lily asked.
“Very weak,” Klaus replied honestly, further deepening their sighs.
“If this were a life-and-death battle, I would have killed all of you in under ten seconds—and when I say all of you, I mean everyone, including Kathy.”
“You’re joking, right? Kathy is an Ascendant and a divine beast,” Hanna said, clearly disliking the idea that her beast companion would die against Klaus in under ten seconds.
“She is an Ascendant, alright, but her mind is still weak. Just like how all of you collapsed, she did too. If I wanted, I could knock her out using a mind attack and kill her afterward,” Klaus explained, leaving Hanna with no choice but to sigh.
“No need to look down, Hanna. When mind attack is taken out of the picture, I’ll be able to kick his ass like a merry-go-round,” Kathy said with a cheeky smile, bringing laughter that lightened the mood a little.
But Klaus was rather taken aback by how Kathy could now use her words like a real human.
‘I guess a divine beast is not like the others out there still trying to understand human emotion. She is different.’
“Mason, how was your first day coordinating with future friends?” Klaus asked, prompting Mason to raise his head and answer.
“It was fun. I’ve never had this much of a fight in my entire life, so I enjoyed it. It’s just that I didn’t realize how big the gap is between me and the rest of you,” he sighed.
“Don’t worry about that. Now that you’re here with us, you’ll start to see progress soon. I’ll make sure that by the time you reach the Great Sage stage, you’ll be fighting Tier 10 monsters,” Klaus said.
Though he was smiling, they all could tell he was serious.
He then snapped his fingers and locked Mason’s cultivation base. “I’ll unlock it when I’m done rebuilding your foundation.”
Mason didn’t question him and simply nodded.
This made his pals raise their eyebrows at the newcomer.
But they could understand he was just adapting. Once he gets used to the brat—whose true strength none of them could see—he will start protesting a few things.
“So, what is the plan? We are all practically cannon fodders at the moment, but I don’t plan on being that for long. So, what’s next?” Danny asked.
“I have a few things planned, which will start taking effect after tomorrow when the Moon-Borns arrive. First, I plan on creating an elite force that can handle the threats surrounding us.
But aside from that, I will also create different battalions that will comprise some of the finest warriors Earth has to offer.
This will mean, soon, you all will start training and leading a small group of warriors who will be your responsibility on the battlefield.
You will also be the ones to hold the banner up when the battle reaches its direst stage because, trust me, we will face harrowing dangers.
But I have no plans on attending funerals, so I will turn you all from greenhouse flowers into Black Dahlias.”
You will become the heart of Earth, and when the time comes that we will have to make a stand, we will stand with our shoulders high, and chests puffed out, for we will have the strength to counter all.”
“Goosebumps—I have literal goosebumps,” Hanna commented, flashing a teasing smile at Klaus. His friends all laughed, but his words touched them.
Though the brat is mostly shameless, today wasn’t one of those times. Klaus is being serious, which, like Hanna said, brought literal goosebumps to their bodies.
“No need to think otherwise, y’all. The moment you awaken your bloodlines, you will understand why you all are special. But before that, you will all have to put your lives on the line, and I am going to make sure of that.
It’s only in true life-and-death battles through which all of you will realize your hidden potential and unlock your strength.”
“We will follow your arrangements, Klaus. You are our inspiration, so whatever you have planned, we will listen,” Ling, one of the Zhou twins, said, feeling her blood boiling.
“Alright. I look forward to when we put that determination to the test. For now, go spend time together with your men, for when we go out there, you won’t have the energy even to kiss them.”
They all laughed but nodded and dispersed.
“Mason, come see me later today,” Klaus said to him before the spearman, who was now thinking perhaps his life was about to change, walked away.
“You ladies should also leave. I have an appointment with Nia,” Klaus laughed, setting Lucy down. He walked to Nia and took her into a princess carry.
“Why only her? We all want to spend at least one round with you,” Lily pouted.
“Tell that to your weak selves. While you all were having a nice nap on the ground, Nia stood her ground and resisted the mind attack. So she calls dibs today,” Klaus said as he lifted into the air with Nia in his arms.
She cast teasing smiles at her sisters. They all can see the mocking expression in her eyes, and for a moment, Lulu contemplated using a soul attack on her.
But then she is immune, so…
“This is unfair. She only managed to resist because of her shadow,” Anna also complained, but Klaus grinned and flew away.
“That bitch. Had it not been for me training with her a few times, she wouldn’t have discovered that hack,” Lulu complained.
She was the one who helped Nia learn of the special aspect of her shadow: the soul and mind neutrality. Thanks to her, she is now going to spend the entire night with their man.
“I say we should crash their party,” Lily proposed, and the ladies nodded, but Lucy stopped them.
“Let’s go for now. Since Klaus is now back in the academy, we will have all the fun with him. He knows that through sex, we grow, so he wouldn’t deprive us of that.”
The ladies nodded, and soon, they were gone.
Meanwhile, Klaus and Nia arrived in her room, where the rest of the day and the night would be spent doing what they loved.
