Chapter 470: • Unstoppable Force

The crowd, once stunned into silence, erupted into cheers and shouts. People couldn’t believe their eyes—Alister, the Dragon Lord, had emerged not only before anyone had expected but with the dungeon boss already vanquished.

AND HE WAS COMPLETELY UNHARMED!

The cheers quickly turned into frantic questions as reporters pushed forward, their microphones thrust in his direction.

“Sir Dragon Lord!” one reporter called. “How did you manage to finish so quickly? We’ve heard of the Red Phoenix Guild spending days inside those gates. What was your secret?”

Another reporter shouted, “How many dragons aided you in this victory? Was it just you, or did you have a whole army with you?”

A third reporter piped up, “And we’ve noticed, when the guild members emerged earlier, they no longer had their filter masks! Even now, you as well have done so. Does that mean you have a dragon capable of reversing the effects of the mist—or even preventing it?”

The questions came fast and furious, the pressure mounting as the crowd surged forward, eager for answers.

Cameras flashed, drones buzzed overhead, and the air was thick with excitement.

Alister exhaled a long, exhausted sigh, his golden eyes narrowing slightly as he adjusted to the noise.

He was used to the attention, but there were moments when it felt overwhelming.

Before he could even think to answer, Draven suddenly bellowed, “Stay back, humans!”

His voice was thunderous, a command that rippled through the air. “You are invading my lord’s personal space! Show respect!”

The crowd froze momentarily, taken aback by the sheer force of Draven’s voice.

They hadn’t expected such a response, but it was enough to push them back, giving Alister a bit of breathing room. Still, the reporters pressed forward, their questions now turning to Draven.

“Sir dragon knight, we heard you followed Arden and his team into the dungeon. Do you care to share how you and the Dragon Lord entered a dungeon without using the portal?”

One reporter edged slightly closer.

“Yes, sir dragon knight, what sort of dragon spell made it possible? Hope you don’t mind sharing.”

The humans were beginning to annoy Draven. He was nearly tempted to zap a few of them. Alister could see the crest in his hand flaring as his hands cracked with purple lightning.

But then, Alister held up a hand, signaling for Draven to stand down. He turned to face the onlookers, his tone calm but firm.

“The dungeon’s business is mine to handle. The details, however, are none of yours.”

His gaze swept over the crowd, and a chill settled over the scene. “As for your questions, I will answer them in due time. But not now.”

The crowd fell into silence, their eagerness smothered by Alister’s overwhelming presence.

The reporters backed off, exchanging glances, but their curiosity hadn’t been sated—yet they knew better than to press any further for now.

Naomi, still recovering from the shock, murmured, “He really did it… he cleared an SS-ranked dungeon in less than an hour.”

Elias, his expression still dazed, simply shook his head. “Unbelievable…”

And as the crowd slowly settled, all eyes were on Alister, who stood, seemingly unaffected by the chaos around him, his golden eyes scanning the horizon.

A warrior unmatched in a city where strength spoke louder than words.

The crowd parted like the sea, clearing a path wide enough for Alister to walk through, as if the very air was charged with reverence for his presence. The people cheered his name, their voices rising in a chorus of awe and admiration.

“Dragon Lord!” “Alister!” they called, their voices echoing down the street. Some shouted his name in sheer disbelief, others in pure devotion, while cameras flashed nonstop, capturing the moment for the world to see. Alister’s golden eyes flicked briefly toward the crowd, his expression unreadable, before he turned and began walking, his steps measured and deliberate, the crowd instinctively parting before him.

As he moved past the Red Phoenix Guild members, Naomi watched him, still trying to process the overwhelming events of the day. Elias remained silent, his gaze fixed on the Dragon Lord as the man’s presence loomed like a shadow over the entire scene.

However, as Alister moved farther away, the reality of the situation seemed to sink in for Marcus, who leaned closer to Arden, his voice low but filled with uncertainty.

“You feel that too, right?” Marcus asked, a hint of unease in his tone. “We’re approaching a time when all the guilds are going to have to answer to that young man. I don’t see how we can keep up.”

Gina, standing beside them, snorted softly. “We won’t even have a choice. When he’s the only one able to clear these gates, what else is there to do? It won’t matter if we want to fight back or not. He’ll be the one with all the power.”

Arden exhaled slowly, his gaze following Alister’s retreating form. “It may not be that way for long,” he muttered, his voice heavy with the weight of unspoken thoughts. “There’s always a way for power to shift, especially in a world like this. What we’ve seen today… it’s impressive, but it doesn’t mean he’s invincible.”

He paused for a moment, eyes narrowing slightly as he considered the implications of Alister’s power. “Everyone has weaknesses, and even the strongest can falter.”

Marcus and Gina exchanged a glance, but neither of them said anything immediately. Arden had a point, of course. Nothing in this world—especially in their world—remained static for long. But for now, Alister’s dominance seemed absolute.

And perhaps it was.

Sorry for the messy updates, yeah, a lot of family issues came up irl and affected my mental health a bit, but I’m picking myself back up and will try to maintain a pace of 1 to 2 chapters a day. And I can promise that now, more than ever, we are approaching a time when all shall bow before the Lord of Dragons, either under alliance or conquest.
