Lucan excused himself and walked toward the balcony of the residence, planning to take a breath of fresh air.
Prince Aurelion was more than happy to see the Artemian Commander leave since the latter had been staring at Zia way too much, annoying him.
The two ministers whom Lucan had asked for confirmation earlier also rose up to join their commander in the balcony.
“Are you sure she has the blood of Chandrea flowing in her veins?” Lucan asked in a volume that only his two ministers could hear.
“Yes,” one of the Ministers replied. “I have been in the presence of Queen Miriamele for years, so I’m very familiar with the faint presence emanating from her bloodline. The feeling is the same.”
Lucan then glanced at the other minister, waiting for him to give an explanation.
“There is no doubt that she is a girl,” the second Minister commented.
“I have used an absolute skill that can see through any kind of disguise, and I can assure you that she’s a genuine lady. Did the Chandreans perhaps have another Princess whom they had sent away from their world for her own safety?”
Lucan frowned because he had never heard that there was a second princess from the Chandrean Royal Family.
“Is there really no possibility that Zia is Zion Leventis in disguise?” Lucan inquired. “I mean, not even in a one in a million chance?”
“I’m not ruling out that fact, but it is highly unlikely,” the Minister answered. “She has the body parts of a woman from the inside and out. If she were really Zion Leventis, then he is using an advanced form of disguise that surpasses my detection ability.
“But I highly doubt it. Even if someone were to use such a thing, they cannot change what is inside the body. This I say with utmost certainty!”
Lucan nodded. “I do not doubt you, but it is just too much of a coincidence. Ever since the event in the Arcadia Archipelago, his Majesty could no longer feel the bloodline of his daughter. It’s as if she has vanished completely.”
“Then, could this girl be the Princess’ daughter?” the Minister asked. “But it’s impossible since it has only been a few years since the ceremony failed in the Arcadia Archipelago. Even if she got pregnant, she can’t possibly have a child that old, right?”
Lucan and the other minister looked at the second minister with weird looks on their faces.
“Don’t drink too much,” Lucan ordered. “I need you sober.”
Sensing he had been lightly reprimanded by their Commander, the minister nodded in understanding.
“Commander, since she has the bloodline of the Chandrean Family, we must acquire her,” the minister stated. “It doesn’t matter if he really is Zion Leventis or a succubus princess. Her bloodline is very precious, and we need it.”
“I’ll consider it,” Lucan replied. “But don’t do anything that might catch her attention.”
The two ministers nodded and returned first to their seats on the VIP Table. Since they were the guests of honor, not being around would reflect badly on them.
Lucan eyed Zia from afar, thinking long and hard about the possibility that she might be the person their King wanted to personally tear to pieces.
‘But that would be such a waste,’ Lucan thought. ‘She really looks like Queen Miriamele.’
The Artemian Commander watched with amusement as Princess Aurelion did his best to chat with the shy young lady, who would at most reply with a word or two.
A few minutes later, Lucan finally returned to the table and smiled at Zia, who smiled shyly back at him.
‘It doesn’t matter if you’re really Zion Leventis or not,’ Lucan thought. ‘Now that we know of your existence, do not even think that you can escape from our grasp.’
What Lucan didn’t know was that when he and his people were talking on the balcony, one of Thirteen’s demons was also there, eavesdropping on their conversation.
No matter how low their voice was, he had equipped his demons with a skill that would allow them to perfectly hear and see things from longer distances, which proved to be very useful in gathering information and spying on others.
‘This is a problem,’ Zia thought after realizing that her bloodline was the cause of her current appearance.
Lastly, since the Artemians had detected the Chandrean bloodline in her body, she was certain that they would do their best to acquire her using force if they needed to.
At that moment, a thought popped into Zia’s head, which she immediately put into action.
“Sir Lucan, can you tell me more about your world?” Zia asked. “I’m very curious about it.”
“Oh, then you should really consider giving us a visit, Princess,” Lucan replied with a smile. “I have so many things to talk to you about the world of Artem, and a day is not enough for me to tell everything.”
“Then can you tell me what your people do most of the time?” Zia inquired.
“Well, the common folk live peaceful lives because the world is united under one ruler,” Lucan replied proudly. “Our army is also very strong, so our people are well-protected even in times of strife.”
“Zia, the Dragonkin Army is also very strong,” Prince Aurelion commented. “You should come check it after the party so you can see how strong we really are. Also, we’re both from the same world, so we have a lot to talk about.”
Prince Aurelion wanted to glare at Lucan, a bit threatened as he felt like Zia was giving the latter a preferential treatment.
When he was chatting with her, she would only answer with a word or two.
But now, she was actively asking questions and seemed to be really curious about the world of Artem, making him feel extremely irritated.
“While the Dragonkin Army is indeed strong, ours is not inferior to it,” Lucan stated calmly. “If the princess has any more questions, I will be more than happy to answer all of them.”
And thus, Zia asked a lot of questions about Artem, making Prince Aurelion feel like he had eaten a fly.
In the end, he invited Zia to dance in order to stop her from talking to Lucan, who was answering her questions while looking at her with a tender gaze.
“I don’t know how to dance,” Zia said, looking very embarrassed. “I might step on your feet.”
“It’s fine even if you step on my feet,” Prince Aurelion replied. “I won’t be hurt by such a thing.’
In fact, he felt like he wouldn’t mind if Zia were to really step at him with her soft, delicate feet.
In the end, Zia had no choice but to comply.
Lucan did his best to hide his disappointment as his eyes followed the two towards the dance floor.
Prince Aurelion was using this opportunity to hold the young lady and pull her closer to his embrace as they both danced on the dance floor.
Of course, everyone’s gaze was on them, with the majority feeling curious about who the beautiful lady was.
But since she came with the succubus from the Velmoria Royal Family, they believed that she might be part of their nobility or was a member of the royal family who had just made her debut.
“Is she really a princess of your kingdom?” Lucan asked Princess Xynalia, who looked at him as if he were asking a stupid question.
“Of course, she’s a princess of our kingdom,” Princess Xynalia replied. “Is there a problem with that?”
“No.” Lucan shook his head. “I just thought that she’s too good to become part of your royal family.”
Princess Xynalia, Princess Laventia, and Ristella didn’t know if they should be offended or not by the Artemian Commander’s words.
However, he no longer paid any attention to them after asking his question.
A faint smile hung on his face as he watched Zia step on Prince Aurelion’s feet several times.
The young lady’s face had a tinge of red, looking very embarrassed because she didn’t know where to put her two feet.
Prince Aurelion, on the other hand, looked like he was in a very good mood as he allowed the young lady to step on him—something that would have been treated as a capital crime in the Dragonkin Empire, punishable by death.
