Chapter 1036 - 1036: Operation Blitzkrieg [Part 2]

Blood streamed down the corner of Princess Laventia’s lips.

Her face was a little pale, but her eyes were filled with determination.

Roland had been observing her from start to finish, and seeing her condition, he felt very anxious. However, he couldn’t do anything to interfere with the operation.

One of Princess Laventia’s abilities was to create a perfect clone with her powers intact.

This clone had the power to perfectly copy the appearance of any lady she had seen in her life.

In order to make this operation work, they would need to use the perfect bait to make the Jinns come out of their hiding place.

Although Princess Laventia’s clone could perfectly copy Princess Aracelle’s appearance, it was unable to copy her divine presence.

To solve that problem, Princess Aracelle channeled the power of her divinity and allowed the clone to absorb it.

The Princess would eventually regain the power of divinity that she had lost with enough rest, so doing this wasn’t a problem.

Unfortunately, the clone would only be able to retain the divinity inside its body for a few hours before it dissipates completely.

But that was enough.

Thirteen only needed a few hours to deal with the Azothralls, which was why he had named it Operation Blitzkrieg.

They had partially accomplished their goal after Rocky confirmed that five of the Azothralls had been killed in battle.

In order to prevent any variables from happening, the Hellfire Bal-Boa collected the remains of their bodies and tossed them inside the Domain of the Apocalypse for safekeeping.

‘The Deathworm and the two moles are catching up to the golden Azothrall.’ Thirteen narrowed his eyes as he monitored the map of the Vesta Canyon.

The red blinking dot, which represented the ring in the clone’s finger was being pursued by three green dots, which represented the high-ranking fighters of the Jinn Army.

An hour later, the golden Azothrall was still fleeing underground, refusing to go to the surface.

It probably felt that it would be at a greater disadvantage above ground than below it.

“Sorry, Zion, but we only managed to kill one more Azothrall,” Prince Zorren replied. “The rest were able to escape.”

“Understood,” Thirteen replied. “Good work.”

The perfect scenario was for them to wipe out the Azothralls once and for all.

But Thirteen knew that these monsters shouldn’t be underestimated and predicted that some of them would be able to escape.

The second ideal scenario was for the golden Azothrall to die, eliminating the greatest threat among the Azothralls.

Unfortunately, it was moving too fast underground that even the Rank 9 Deathworm and the two Rank 8 Moles couldn’t catch up to it.

In a desperate attempt to escape its pursuers, it burrowed so deep that it eventually reached molten magma, diving into it headfirst.

Thirteen already knew that the Azothralls could mutate their bodies to adapt to their surroundings, giving them a sort of immunity to extremely hot and extremely cold environments.

In the end, the Deathworm and the two Moles were forced to give up their pursuit since they couldn’t possibly follow the golden Azothrall in a sea of molten magma.

Thirteen sighed in regret, knowing it would become much harder to catch the surviving Azothralls.

They would no longer be deceived a second time and would probably lie low until an opportunity arose.

“Good job, everyone,” Thirteen replied. “Please return to the city of Velmusa. Princess Laventia, you can now give the golden Azothrall your gift.”

The Princess who sat cross-legged on the floor nodded and closed her eyes.

Somewhere deep under the ground, Princess Laventia’s clone self-detonated, making the golden Azothrall cry out in pain before it puked mouthfuls of blood.

Regrettably, the detonation wasn’t strong enough to make its entire body explode. But Princess Laventia was still able to inflict serious injuries on it.

The golden Azothralls gritted its teeth as it continued its descent to a safer location to recover from its injuries.

Hundreds of miles away from the fleeing Azothrall, Princess Laventia coughed a mouthful of blood before collapsing on the floor.

Fortunately, Roland was able to catch her in time, preventing her from suffering more injuries.

Princess Xynalia hurriedly made her sister drink a potion that Thirteen had prepared in advance.

A few minutes later, the succubus princess regained consciousness, and the paleness on her face decreased a bit.

“Thank you for your sacrifice, Princess,” Thirteen said. “We managed to deal them a serious blow with your help.”

“I’m not doing this again, okay?” Princess Laventia wiped the blood from the corner of her lips with the back of her hand, making her look like a real demon.

“Okay.” Thirteen nodded. “Please, rest for now to recover your strength. Roland, watch over her.”

“I’ll do that even if you don’t tell me,” Roland replied as he carried Princess Laventia like a princess.

The young man then left, looking very anxious at the state of the young lady in his arms.

Princess Xynalia smiled faintly after seeing this scene. It was very obvious that the Hero cared for the succubus princess, and it was more than she expected.

“What now?” Princess Xynalia asked. “Will you still be able to find the Azothralls?”

Thirteen shook his head. “I’m sure they will go into hiding, and we won’t see them again for a while. The ambush above ground didn’t work because the Azothralls might have sensed the danger.”

“They are too smart for their own good.” Princess Xynalia sighed. “I just hope that this will not affect the current state of our alliance.”

With the Azothralls greatly weakened from this operation, some of the leaders of the Jinns might have a change of heart and push the Jinn Alliance to reconsider their truce with the Wanderers.

Right now, only eight Azothralls remained.

While it was still a significant force, the Jinns might think that they were no longer a threat that should be considered as a priority.

Of course, Thirteen believed that House Pavareth, the Skavari, the Azrakith Court, and the Velmoria Kingdom would not join the other Jinns in their fight against the Wanderers.

Besides, even if more than half of the Jinns declared war on them, Thirteen wasn’t afraid.

He had already made preparations for Arthur Leventis and the elite members of the Leventis Family to travel to the Cygni Continent.

Also, he was currently in a negotiation with Laplace Demon and The One to let the Lord of Death, Erasmus, traverse the sea and join him in the Cygni Continent to bolster the forces of the Wanderers.

Although the two Deities of the Wanderers said that they would consider Thirteen’s proposal, they still hadn’t given the go signal for Erasmus to make his move.

As long as they agreed, Thirteen would have another Trump Card in his fight against the invaders, who were starting to itch for another clash against the Wanderers of Pangea.
