Chapter 1415: Sparring Match

"This should be far enough, right?" Anna smirked.

"Indeed." Noel nodded in agreement. "We will have a spar here. No need to worry about the area here. You can attack me however you want. I won’t use my flame for this sparring."

"You’re talking big. What if you lose?" Anna harrumphed.

"What do you want?" Noel smiled confidently.

"If I win, you have to follow my words for a whole day."

"In that case, should I ask the same when I win?"

"Sure." Anna knew that both of them understood the limit to that order. If they followed each other’s words, they had to give a command that the other party would be slightly reluctant to but not affect anything else. For example, Anna simply couldn’t tell him how to govern his territory all of a sudden.

At the same time, this was just a simple bet. They never intended to use it for something serious, like territory management. They were just trying to play with each other to embarrass them.

"I’m fired up!" Anna grinned.

Noel chuckled as he formed a coin from his ice element before saying, "Once this coin falls, we’ll begin. Any objection?"

"None!"

*Clink!

The moment Anna gave the confirmation, Noel tossed the coin up. They released their spiritual energy at the same time while raising their own stances. Their spiritual energy caused the coin to get flipped multiple times in the air, messing up the timing of the fall.

They usually did the bet this way because Noel used this trick first to mess up the timing and won a bet. Now, both of them just tried to mess with the coin, but knowing that this trick didn’t work anymore, they finally let the coin touch the ground.

In that instant, both of them disappeared.

*Clink!*

A clicking sound between two swords echoed in the area as both of them struck each other’s sword. The energy from their swords erupted and caused a massive shock wave that shook the area.

"Pretty good for the first strike." Noel smirked, teasing Anna.

"If you can afford to look down on me, then think how you’re going to be humiliated later!" Anna stomped the ground and forcefully knocked Noel’s sword back.

Then Anna spun her body and kicked Noel with the back of her foot. Noel leaped into the air, since ducking was not an option after getting knocked back.

Anna took this chance to punch him with her lightning-covered fist.

Noel froze her lightning, but the spiritual energy was still enough to blow him away.

"Erupt!" Anna raised her sword as lightning sparked violently to show Noel that even if he froze this lightning, the extraordinary power of the lightning would just shatter the ice.

She swung down as her sword strike ran through the ground, chasing after the flying Noel.

Noel pointed her palm at the lightning strike and caught her attack with his bare hand.

The lightning instantly froze, telling Anna that he could simply freeze all of them at the same time instead of letting a portion of them shatter the ice.

The ice spread on the ground as several ice crystals formed as though they were trying to capture Anna.

Anna jumped back multiple times, avoiding the ice. But once she saw through the pattern, she switched her stance and focused all her lightning on her foot. With a single loop, she passed all the ice even though it erupted the moment she passed it.

Without the ice being able to catch up, there was nothing that separated her from Noel anymore.

She struck Noel as swiftly as possible so that he wouldn’t have time to react, but Noel simply predicted her movement by placing the sword in the trajectory right after she swung that sword.

Anna couldn’t help but furrow her eyebrows. It didn’t work as well as she thought it would.

"What’s wrong? Out of ideas already?" Noel smiled, teasing her again.

"In that case, I will just have to overpower you then." Anna snorted.

Both of them seemed to have the same idea as they shouted at the same time.

"Lightning Transformation!"

"Ice Transformation!"

The ice and lightning erupted. The lightning tried to crush the ice, and the ice froze the lightning. Both elements clashed fiercely, showing no sign of ending.

In the end, Anna focused her lightning on her speed, moving around Noel in an unpredictable way.

Noel closed his eyes and hit something behind him. It was, surprisingly, where Anna attacked him.

"Tsk!"

"Do better. You’re so predictable." Noel smirked.

"You really know how to piss me off! I’m giving you one last chance to use your flame element. I’m afraid you won’t be able to do anything if I get serious."

"You can try!"

Both of them looked each other in the eyes.

Anna raised her hand as a lightning bolt fell from the sky and hit him.

Noel managed to form an ice dome at the last moment. The dome shattered, but it managed to shield him from the lightning.

Anna waved her sword multiple times, releasing one sword strike after another. Noel, on the other hand, formed multiple blocks of ice on their way, using them to absorb the attacks.

Now that there was a distance between them, Anna chose to fight this more seriously.

Their sparring match had two absolute rules. The first one was that they could injure each other to a certain extent, but once it got dangerous, both of them had to run as far as possible to stop the match. The second one was to not use the True Spirit Body.

In the end, using the True Spirit Body would harm the body and make them unable to utilize the spirit for a certain period. If their family was attacked during that time, it would have become a big problem.

However, unlike Noel, Anna had one trump card that had the power similar to that of a True Spirit Body but was not classified as one.

If she used this ability, she should have no problem in overpowering Noel.

Since Noel had provoked her again and again, she chose to be shameless and defeat him by using this ability... the ability that was given by the Spirit God himself.
