“Kill her.”
Zylarith ordered, his words froze Sharnoth on the spot.
“W-What…?”
She stuttered.
She had to… kill her?

“She will not return to how she once was.”
Zylarith poured cold water on her face.
“She will follow you if you ask her to, but her life would no longer be hers, it will be yours, and the longer it lasts, the more she will suffer.”

Sharnoth turned silent at those words. She glanced at her mother, who still seemed confused about this situation since she couldn’t hear or listen to Zylarith.
Sharnoth clenched her fists as she saw the state of the torn rags her mother was wearing and the bruises on her skin that it couldn’t hide.
She slowly walked towards her mother,
“Shar…”
Isaveth smiled lightly, her eyes, however, were dead. There was no light in them.
“Mother.”

“If I tell you a Master is helping me and I can escape this place and live safely, would you like to follow me?”

“My Master guarantees my safety.”
Sharnoth answered and—

Isaveth let out a voice.
After a long, long time, her dead crimson eyes glistened, as if alive. Then—
Two streams of red tears rolled down her cheeks,
“Shar…”
She called out in a weak, desperate, selfish voice.
“I wish you live well.”
She spoke, hating every part of her body for wanting to abandon her daughter.
“Do not make it more difficult for her, end this and pray that her next life will be better than this.”
Zylarith spoke again and this time, Sharnoth acted on his words.
The dagger in her hands was plunged into Isaveth’s heart, for a moment, Isaveth was shocked, but—
“May you live well in the next life, Mother.
May we meet again in some other life.”
The moment Isaveth heard those words, her heart shuddered. Slowly, she closed her eyes and a light, relieved smile appeared on her face.
“May we do…”
She spoke in a powerless voice as finally, the Queen of Nightfall’s head rested on her daughter’s shoulder—it was time for Eternal Rest.
Sharnoth felt weak, the weight of her mother’s head felt much heavier than before.
She stayed there for a moment, a part of her heart wanted to stay like this for the rest of her life, but then—
“Wear the cloak, it is time to leave.”
Zylarith’s words brought her out of her reverie.
“I want to take my mother’s body.”
She requested.
Zylarith paused for a moment, staring at the girl’s eyes. Then, he sighed and with a wave of his hand, a storage ring appeared in the air. Sharnoth grabbed the ring, stored her mother’s body in it. She then wore the cloak she was given, ready to leave.
“Follow the direction the eye sees.”
The order was given. Sharnoth followed, after a while, she encountered a few guards, her instinctive reaction was to hide but—
“Keep walking, act like they do not exist. Do not change your pace and keep your breathing stable.”
Zylarith’s words had a strange control over her body and she did exactly what she was told. Yes, she walked right beside the guards, she was asking to be caught and yet…
The guards acted like they didn’t see her and walked past her. Sharnoth was surprised, but since she was told not to stop, she didn’t.
After about 5 minutes, she saw the gates that led outside, but they were locked.
“Use the keys.”
Zylarith instructed, Sharnoth nodded. The moment she moved the keys in front of the lock, its shape changed into what would perfectly fill the keyhole.
With one move, the doors were unlocked and once again, Sharnoth walked right past the guards.
And just like that, the holy prison that no heretic had ever escaped… was breached by an eleven-year-old girl.
Zylarith took Sharnoth to an unknown dead world where the Princess first buried her mother’s body according to Nocthys’s rituals.
Once done, the Princess stood up.
It was time for her to be Reborn.
She turned around and glanced at Zylarith with a determined look on her face.
“Eat this.”
He ordered as a pitch-black seed that pulsed with colors no sane mind could describe hovered in the air right in front of the twelve-year-old Sharnoth.
“…what is it?”
Sharnoth questioned, finding the seed strangely repulsive, almost as if her entire body was warning her not to consume it.
“It is the Seed of Uncreation.”
Sharnoth frowned at those words.
“Your story began in Darkness, but that Chapter ends now.
You will never get back what you lost, but it also means you now do not have anything else to lose.
You are no longer bound.
No more chains, no more lies of balance.
You are free.
And it is time for you to accept True Freedom.”
“True Freedom…?”
“Chaos.”
Zylarith revealed.
“Chaos…?”
Sharnoth widened her eyes in surprise.
She knew what Chaos was, how could she not know about the Energy that one of the Supreme Worlds in the past used to use?
But…
Wasn’t that energy said to be too destructive?
