Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 714 - 714: The Rich Young Master [Bonus]

Inwardly, Kent was laughing at the King.

‘I guess all those acting classes Mama made me take weren’t wasted.’ He smiled and then focused his attention on the King.

“Are you sure you want to know why I am being hunted by the Hand?” Kent asked, and the King nodded.

“Very well. But this may come as a shock to you because I don’t even know why they want me dead, though I have some theories.

First, through one of their informants, I managed to send them a catchy notice that I am aware of their existence. That pissed them off, so they came after me… bringing me to the second theory.

I killed thousands of their men, rendering their plans to send a message to everyone that they are not to be messed with, obsequious. That was a massive blow to them.

Then they sent the one called ‘the Hunter,’ who, as it turns out, wasn’t so bad. One led to another, and we are now buddies.”

“Wait, did you just say the Hunter came after you?” Lord Faelen cut Kent off before he could end his theories.

Kent looked at him and then smiled. “But of course. She isn’t too bad if you get to know her.” The elders looked at each other and then at their king.

“And as I was saying, after the Hunter failed, I had to send them a new message, and this time, I made them aware of the consequences if they were unable to meet my expectations.

I mean, for such an organization claiming to be the best in the world, they sure don’t behave like one. So I gave them a notice that they shouldn’t mess with me, and judging by how the Elves reacted at the gate, the Hand is serious about ending me now.”

Kent smiled weakly. “Poor souls, they will be dying for nothing.”

“You make it sound like you can handle them,” King Thalirion said ever so sneakily, making Kent, who understood what he was doing, laugh.

“Let’s just say if I put my mind to it, killing everyone in the world wouldn’t be as hard as you might think.”

Quiet.

The King and his elders fell silent upon hearing Kent’s words. It sounded ridiculous, but to them, knowing that the most dangerous underworld organization was hunting Kent, they sensed the danger in his words.

This made them wonder just what Kent was trying to say. However, Kent didn’t allow them to think that far.

“Look, I am not afraid of the Hand. If they don’t understand that yet, they will soon come to understand. Because trust me, I am not as simple as I appear. So you choose: become my enemy now, or become friends, which is a huge gamble—but know all too well that becoming my friend will end well for you and your people.”

Kent smiled. “Now, how about the competition? Giving me a chance means you will be sending one of your own to the sect this year.

But aside from that, I can help the other four enter the sect, provided I get to be one of the five to enter the Flame Tower.

Of course, I am not asking to be given special treatment, but a chance to compete for a slot is all I ask for…”

Kent waved his hand, and eleven grapes appeared. Waving his hand again, the grapes flew and landed in the palms of the elders and the king.

“You can enjoy some grapes while you determine what road to take.” The smile on Kent’s face was that of a world-class scammer who knew he had set his bait in the heads of the elders and the king.

And adding the 10,000-year-old Spirit Grape Fruit was something the King and his people wouldn’t even know how to process.

Looking at their shocked expressions, Kent smiled slightly.

It was a bribe, but one they couldn’t reject.

Kent took a handful of the grapes and started eating. This sight scared the King and his people. The last time they saw a Spirit Grape Fruit was at an auction held at the Qilin Garden, somewhere in the Beast Empire.

It sold for billions of spirit stones. So they knew how expensive a Spirit Grape Fruit was. But watching Kent eat them like normal fruit, they just couldn’t wrap their minds around it.

“No need to look so shocked, everyone. It is just a 10,000-year-old Spirit Grape Fruit…”

“WHAT?”

The king couldn’t keep his composure anymore. His hands were shaking as he held the grape. The last Spirit Grape Fruit they saw was 500 years old, but even that was sold for billions.

However, in their hands now was a 10,000-year-old Spirit Grape Fruit. What did this mean…

‘Just one of these has the means to raise the standard of living for my people,’ the king thought, looking as Kent threw one grape after another into his mouth, smiling at him.

‘Who is this human?’ the king wondered.

“Fine. I know I was stingy for giving you each just one grape. So, how about this? Add me to the competition, and then afterward, I will provide you with 1,000 more of these and even help the four Half-Elves that will be entering the Flame Tower raise their spirit roots to the Immortal grade.

How does that sound?”

The King’s mouth was wide open.

Sitting at the core of the universe, Lady Universe smiled, which gradually turned into a resounding laughter.

“You know, due to how chaotic he is, I sometimes forget he is also shameless and a good scammer,” the Enchantress’ voice entered Lady Universe’s ears.

“What do you expect? Someone who managed to scam me before is no normal person.”

“That was funny. I remember how you were so pissed and wanted to kill him. I wonder what would have happened if you truly killed him back then.”

“Ha,” Lady Universe chuckled, “I guess we wouldn’t know now, do we?”

“I guess so, too. But isn’t the fact that he is everything a person would want to be the point we both have become creeps watching his every moment?”

Both the Enchantress and Lady Universe blushed.

“Mortals are just funny… Look at their funny expressions.”
