Chapter 966 - Chapter 966: Chapter 966: Giving Myself to You_1

Chapter 966: Chapter 966: Giving Myself to You_1

Although Princess Ling’an was rather bold, her status offered her certain privileges. Apart from the beating she took in the palace last time, she had hardly suffered any hardships.

Let alone being thrown out through a window.

She screamed as she crashed through the window, shutting her eyes tightly as she succumbed to gravity.

The pain from hitting the ground she expected never came.

Instead, she felt powerful arms steadily catch her.

Princess Ling’an slowly opened her eyes, locking gaze with long and slender eyes.

It was a man with strong, handsome features, donning a turban and scholar’s attire.

Seeing her staring, the man quickly set her down and bowed, apologizing, “My apologies for the intrusion, miss!”

Only after standing on the ground, did Ling’an realize this man was a head taller than her.

“Miss, are you alright?” the scholar asked in a worried tone, “Do you need me to take you to the Medical Clinic?”

Just then, Princess Ling’an’s maids rushed out, surrounding her in a fluster.

“Princess, where did you hit?”

“Princess, does it hurt somewhere?”

The family’s servants kept the man away from Ling’an. Seeing this, he gave Ling’an a smile, then turned around and left.

“I’m fine! Everyone, get out of my way!”

Ling’an pushed her maids aside and chased after the man, bluntly asking, “Was it you who saved me just now?”

The man replied politely, “I was passing by and saw you fall, so I caught you. I trust I didn’t offend you, miss. Please do not hold it against me.”

“What’s your name?” Ling’an asked, and immediately regretted it, adding, “I always repay my debts. I’ll repay you.”

“It was nothing. No need to mention it.” The man smiled kindly and then walked off.

“Hey!”

Ling’an called out, stomping her foot.

One of her maids came up and asked her: “Princess, are you really okay?”

“I told you I’m fine!”

“That’s great, I was so worried.”

“Where’s that damned ruffian?” Princess Ling’an snapped back into reality, realizing she needed to deal with that libertine.

By the time they returned to the tea house, that playboy had long disappeared.

Princess Ling’an caught her breath in frustration, ordered her people to find that playboy, even if they had to dig three feet into the ground.

Amid the chaos, the young master from Zhang Family, whom she was supposed to meet, arrived.

Princess Ling’an glanced at the young man, who was skinny, dressed in a green robe, with a white and tender face.

He was just like that libertine.

Pure distaste filled Ling’an as she looked at the Zhang Family’s young master, she scoffed at him, and stormed back home.

When the Princess consort asked her how the meeting went, Princess Ling’an firmly expressed her disinterest in the Zhang Family’s young master, saying she despised such weak and delicate libertines- they made her sick!

“Out of the two families I chose, you dismiss one!” cried the Princess consort, “I worry endlessly for you, why am I even alive…”

Seeing her mother in such a state, Ling’an said in exasperation: “Don’t cry, isn’t there another family? I’ll give them one more look, okay?”

Princess consort: “Arrange it!”

Thinking of the man who had saved her earlier, Ling’an resented the idea of matchmaking. She decided that upon meeting the widower from the Liu Family, she’d make sure to decline.

On arriving at the agreed tea house, the matchmaker hadn’t arrived yet, but she spotted that man who had rescued her earlier, sitting in a corner, sipping tea in solitude.
