Chapter 4658: Where is Mo Ze?

Chapter 4658: Where is Mo Ze?

Feng Jiu retrieved a book that compiled various spirit medicines and presented it to Yue’er, saying, “This book not only meticulously records the medicinal properties of a wide array of spiritual remedies but also features clear and detailed illustrations for each one. Your mother has also included some personal notes and insightful observations within its pages. Keep it safe and look through it whenever you find the time.”

“Mother, Yue’er already has one,” the little girl responded, her expression a mixture of surprise and slight confusion. She indeed had a copy of her mother’s treasured medicine manual nestled within her spatial storage.

Feng Jiu offered a gentle smile and clarified, “Ah, but this one is different from the other. Please keep it nonetheless! These particular remedies are no longer of practical use to me. Don’t you harbor a keen interest in the study of medicine and the intricacies of poisons? Then, immerse yourself in more books and dedicate yourself to diligent study. Only through your own hands-on experimentation will you truly grasp the effects of each individual medicine.”

The little girl nodded her head in apparent understanding, then carefully accepted the offered book and beamed sweetly, “Thank you very much, Mother.”

Feng Jiu affectionately patted her daughter’s head. Subsequently, she retrieved other items from her spatial dimension, intending them for Hao’er and Muchen, with the foresight that they might prove beneficial in their future endeavors.

After imparting some instructions to the children, she rose and entered the cabin, leaving Leng Shuang to maintain a vigilant watch outside. Once inside, Feng Jiu retreated into her personal space to diligently refine medicinal pills specifically tailored for her children’s well-being.

Several days later, the elegant spaceship gracefully descended just outside the imposing palace gates of the Xuanyuan Empire. As the vessel touched down, the alert guards stationed at the palace entrance swiftly relayed news of their arrival within the imperial compound.

Upon hearing the news of Feng Jiu and her companions’ arrival, the Xuanyuan Monarch’s face broke into a wide smile of pure joy. He didn’t even deem it necessary to wait within the palace for them to be formally announced. Instead, he eagerly rushed out himself, making his way directly to the palace gates.

“Grandfather!” Yue’er exclaimed, her short legs carrying her swiftly towards the approaching Xuanyuan Monarch, her voice brimming with uncontainable excitement.

“Hahahaha, my precious granddaughter has arrived! Let Grandfather take a good look at how much you’ve grown,” the Xuanyuan Monarch chuckled warmly. He gently picked up the child, affectionately squeezed her chubby little hands, and tenderly stroked her small head, his happiness growing with each passing moment he gazed upon her.

“Good, good, you haven’t lost any weight at all. You’re nice and chubby, just as you should be, nice and chubby!” He declared happily, his gaze sweeping over the children who had returned safely, a profound sense of relief finally settling in his heart.

“Grandfather,” Hao’er and Muchen said in unison.

“Grandfather,” they repeated, stepping forward and bowing respectfully towards him. “We have returned.”

“Good, good, it is wonderful that you are back, truly wonderful that you are back,” he responded, nodding emphatically as tears began to well up in his eyes. He then turned his gaze towards Feng Jiu and said with heartfelt gratitude, “It is truly good of you to have brought the children back safely. Now that they are here, I can finally rest easy. You have truly worked tirelessly this time.”

As he spoke, his eyes briefly scanned the individuals accompanying Feng Jiu. He registered a slight surprise upon noticing that, alongside the familiar faces of her entourage, there was a masked man he did not recognize, as well as a stern-looking, black-clad bodyguard and a quiet little boy. Du Fan, Leng Hua, Leng Shuang, and the others were all present, but Mo Ze was conspicuously absent.

“Where is Mo Ze? Why did he not return with you?” He asked, a trace of concern in his voice.

“Father,” Feng Jiu called out softly, stepping forward to address him. “Let us go inside and talk properly!”

Hearing her words, the Xuanyuan Monarch paused for a brief moment, then chuckled good-naturedly. “Right, right, look at me! You have traveled all this way, and I am standing here asking you questions. Come, come, please follow me inside. Are you feeling hungry? I will instruct the imperial kitchen to prepare some food for you all, after which you can properly rest.”

The group then proceeded to enter the grand palace. As they arrived within its opulent walls, the Xuanyuan Monarch’s face remained illuminated with joy. He promptly instructed the royal chef to prepare a lavish meal and directed servants to arrange comfortable accommodations for their guests.

Later that evening, as everyone else retired to their respective quarters to rest after their journey, Feng Jiu quietly made her way to the Xuanyuan Monarch’s private palace.
