Chapter 863: Chapter 845: Slaughter Type 1!

After breaking through the blockade of the flying demons, Rocky led the fleet to finally arrive over Qingyuan City and immediately took over the defensive duties from the Mairente Family forces. Following his series of commands, the fleet and the Void Magic Corps moved out one after another. At the same time, several warships, headed by the War Steed, began descending toward the ground.

This initial production run, known as pioneering production, was intended to address pressing needs. Fortunately, the armor had already undergone extensive testing and adjustments, with only minor tweaking left to complete. Therefore, mass production posed no significant problems.

At the same time, this new Land Combat Special Armor had already been given a name: Slaughter.

Slaughter Type-1! And all the operatives piloting this batch of armor were from the Guard Corps, highly experienced in ground warfare!

“Deploy the entire unit!”

A barrage of Magic Energy Bullets and Magic Energy Beams burst forth from the smoke, instantly reducing a dozen or so demons in the vicinity to lifeless husks. As the last demon fell, Peter, piloting a Slaughter-Type armor, emerged from the haze.

As a squad leader of the Guard Corps and one of the most seasoned veterans, Peter was among the first to be assigned the Slaughter armor. At nearly forty years of age, he was as thrilled as a child, especially now.

Stepping forward out of the smoke, Peter wielded the twin Gatling Guns mounted on his shoulders, indiscriminately spraying Magic Energy Bullets into the surrounding demons with relentless ferocity.

The Magic Energy Bullets fired by the Gatling Guns, while not individually powerful, could still cause small bursts of blood when hitting the tough hides of Magic Antelope Devils. Whereas a single bullet left only a small wound, a hundred bullets could dig a gaping hole. With the Gatling Guns firing at a rate of a thousand rounds per minute, even a Demon Bell Devil would be shredded into oblivion after just a few seconds of sustained fire!

“Hmm?”

While Peter was thoroughly engrossed in his relentless assault, a dark shadow suddenly surged upward beneath him. A toothed lizard demon had stealthily approached and leapt toward him, its cavernous maw lunging to bite down on his helmet!

But as a Guard Corps veteran, Peter was thoroughly experienced in battling demons. Faced with sudden danger, he calmly raised his arm to block. The toothed lizard demon’s jaws clamped down fiercely on the armor of his arm.

As previously mentioned, the defining trait of toothed lizard demons lies in their incredibly hard teeth, coupled with terrifyingly powerful biting strength capable of crushing steel. Normally, if a Void Magic Warrior were bitten, even the armor-clad arm would undoubtedly be sheared off. Unfortunately for the demon, this time it clamped onto something harder than steel.

The Slaughter armor adopted an entirely different concept of defense than traditional battle armor. Instead of using the conventional Defensive Net, it employed a Defensive Coating. Essentially, the Defensive Net was minimized and tightly adhered to the armor’s surface, increasing its density and dramatically enhancing its defensive power.

Blocking the toothed lizard demon’s massive jaws, Peter used his free hand to grab its lower jaw and yanked downward with a fierce pull. With a gruesome ripping sound, he tore the demon’s jaw from its skull. He then hurled the barely-alive demon at his feet and annihilated it with a short-ranged volley of Magic Energy Bullets from his chest-mounted launcher, turning it to pulp, before continuing to push forward.

By now, more and more Land Combat Warriors had descended to the ground. Like Peter, they began unleashing a frenzied onslaught against the demons. Before long, an open area was cleared directly below Qingyuan City’s walls, where hundreds, even thousands of demons were wiped out. These Land Combat Warriors then regrouped according to the Guard Corps’ formation and began advancing outward.

Witnessing this scene left Cyril utterly speechless. She had never imagined that Rocky’s newly designed Land Combat Armor would be so formidable!
