Chapter 1568: Demon God Cave

[AN: This month will be a one-Chapter-a-day month, with no double Chapter release. And honestly, I caution readers not to expect a regular schedule. The situation in the US has worsened, and the things happening are affecting my community. I’m trying my best to live and survive, but everything is taking a toll on my mental health.

"Some things are indeed destined," Elder Touch Dragon sighed. "Heaven and Earth have Three Treasuries — Essence, Spirit, and Qi — and Three Powers: Heaven, Earth, and Human.

"Fiendgods were born as the epitome of the flesh; they are the physical manifestation of essence. Acquired life, especially humans, are born with superior comprehension. They represent Qi, or the Dao. What about the Spirit?"

Elder Touch Dragon paused, allowing his words to resonate with the crowd.

"Innate Demon Gods are born with their souls blessed by the power of law. Our destiny was to become the symbol of the [Spirit]. But we went astray. We focused on our bloodline and abandoned our destiny."

Elder Touch Dragon once again paused, but this time, everyone felt something enormous was about to happen.

"Old thing, why are you talking so much nonsense?" Battle Saint Ape scoffed. They’ve been planning for so long to weaken the temple, and now that they are about to succeed, the last thing the demon race wants is for something unexpected to occur.

"Overseer of Samsara, I call upon thee," Elder Touch Dragon muttered. "The Primarch accepts their fates as lives that belong to Samsara. Our soul will serve the afterlife for the remains of eternity."

As soon as the old man uttered these words, everyone felt a shift in the surroundings. A black door suddenly manifested between Heaven and Earth, alarming every single individual living in the Eternal Ascension World.

The door opened, revealing a single, pitch black eye that oozed with the power over death. It was mighty, noble, and anyone who glanced at it felt like death was hanging above their heads.

"Samsara Eye? Is there such a thing?" Wang Wei asked.

"There are a few worlds with a Samsara Eye, but only because their afterlife is completely isolated from Heavenly Dao," Qiyuan explained. "But that is not the case for our world — at least, it’s the first time I’m hearing about it."

"In other words, something major has occurred, but no one was the wiser," Wang Wei frowned. "Do you think it’s because of the Netherworld Emperor Position?"

"That’s the current most likely scenario," Qiyuan nodded.

The back eye observed the assembly for a few seconds before it trembled slightly. Then, all the Primarchs in the world turned into white lights before disappearing. From now on, the Heaven Path Cultivators, ironically, now belonged to the underworld. Anyone who follows the Heaven Law Path and becomes a Primarch can enter Samsara to serve.

’Is everything destined?’ Wang Wei asked himself as he watched everything happen.

’The battle between Fiendgods, Humans, and Innate Demon God was pointless. From their very first creation, Grand Dao already knew Fiendgods were supposed to rule over Primordial Chaos, humans and acquired life ruled over Chaos Worlds, and Innate Life would eventually return to the underworld.

’However, it allowed everybody to fight, maybe to see if the outcome would be different from what it predicted. But ultimately, everybody followed the path written for them.’

Wang Wei felt a little defeated after figuring this out, but he soon regained control of himself. He knew long ago it would never be simple to escape the machinations of fate. Anyway, not everything was under Grand Dai’s calculations.

Humans are now synonymous with Acquired Life, but they did not get this title because Grand Dao willed it. They crawled their way to the top to become the destiny race of this Chaos Universe. And that counts for something.

’What would have happened if the Innate Demon Gods had won the war? Would humans have been extinct? Or could we have also survived by becoming Samsara Lifeform? After all, we are pretty adaptable. The issue would be whether Samsara would want us.’

Roar!

While Wang Wei was in deep thinking mode, a roar echoed between Heaven and Earth. A white dragon flew from the Primarch Origin Temple, roaring in pain to the sky. A golden orb located seven inches below its head flew from the Qi Luck Dragon before dissipating. The dragon immediately started to collapse.

"Seal," said a deep, powerful voice, instantly stopping the Qi Luck Dragon from collapsing. "Condense." A seal with the characters for [Demon] and [God] written on each side manifested above the dragon to release a soothing light.

The light not only stopped the creature’s demise, but also reinforced it stronger than before.

"Heaven and Earth above, please be our witness. From now on, the Primarch Origin Temple is no more," said the deep voice, who is probably the former Temple Lord, Primal Mystic Ice.

"From this day on, we are known as the Demon God Cave," Mystic Ice declared." A vision manifested in the sky, followed by a banner from Heaven and Earth itself, with the new name engraved on it.

’I was once again correct,’ Wang Wei thought as he watched everything unfold. He suspected the Primarch would save themselves by accepting their status as the Soul-Destined Race, but he did not know the result would be their return to Samsara.

He also predicted, or divined, that the Primarchs had a way to silence and control the temple, even though ninety percent of the cultivators followed the Emperor Path.

Wang Wei looked at the Demon Clan Chiefs. ’Their plan worked in the sense that they successfully removed the Primarchs from the equation. However, it also allowed the Innate Demon Gods to remove the most significant flaw, withholding their growth and development.

’The Demon God Cave’s Qi Luck is currently unstable, which is the best time to eliminate them. But is it wise to fight in a large-scale confrontation when a disaster is approaching? Well, they might not know the disaster is less than 30,000 Yuan Epoch.’

Wang Wei observed their facial expressions and mood, and it was apparent that these two were preparing for a large-scale confrontation. They didn’t even try to hide it.

’No, these old foxes are testing Maitreya’s response,’ Wang Wei analyzed. She’s the only one who can stop them, and they want to see what she’s thinking or planning.

The two chiefs slowly flew back into their private room, and Ying Zheng’s voice echoed for the second time: "The floor is now open."

’Aren’t you a little eager?’ Wang Wei sneered. He was sure Ying Zheng was waiting to be the last one in the stand for his proposition. And unfortunately for him, he will have to wait a little longer since Monk Wuzhi calmly flew to the podium.

"Salutation to all the donors present," Monk Wuzhi bowed.

"Salutation to you, Eminent Monk Wuzhi," the crowd said in unison.

"You honor me," Monk Wuzhi nodded. All his eyes were on him since he represented the most powerful faction in the world. Wuzhi remained calm and composed. The previous him might have been flustered in such an environment, but after his cultivation reached the Paragon Peak, he was more confident.

"A while back, during the Mortalhood Trial, Donor Wang Wei from the Dao Opening Sect used his wisdom to create a [History Lock], which used Heavenly Dao’s power to protect all the participants’ information."

Wang Wei’s lips twitched. ’Why is this bastard bringing me up at such a moment?’

"My teacher was inspired by his action and chose to work with Heavenly Dao to create a [Heaven History Lock] for the Eternal Ascension World," Monk Wuzhi continued.

"All of you present can represent the entire Eternal Ascension World. With your permission, the lock can be launched today, protecting divination, calculation, soul searching, karma detection, and many other threats."

Wang Wei frowned. ’Why did it take so long to release such a thing?’ The information lock should have been the first thing either Maitreya or Heavenly Dao should have done after the return of the Primals.

After all, if the enemy has already secretly sent scouts into this world, they would have gathered enough basic information about the current situation of all the factions worldwide. As for secrets of the past, Time Eater should have already sold these things.

’Oh, right, Heavenly Dao is still acting shady,’ Wang Wei thought. Heavenly Dao is still double-dipping, wishing to eliminate a few of the Overlords while also ensuring the world survives this disaster with seven factions rising to the next level.

Heavenly Dao was playing with fire, and Wang Wei does not believe things will proceed as the latter expect. There will definitely be many variables and unexpected changes.

"Now, we cannot guarantee absolute information protection since we do not yet know how powerful an enemy we will face, or what they are capable of," Monk Wuzhi added.

"However, you can have faith since two powerful and trusted worthy entities worked on this lock."

As soon as he finished speaking, a lock that oddly resembled Supreme Unity’s Heaven Lock manifested in the sky, garnering everybody’s attention. The only difference is that this lock did not give people a sense of dread and oppression, and it was still illusory. The only thing awaiting it was the final vote.
