Boma City, inside the Xiao Residence

“This is too much!” Xiao Ziyu tore up the intelligence collected by the housekeeper into pieces. Having regained his body and acquired a Fire Spirit physique, his hair had turned bright red, and even his skin was glowing with a red hue. Enraged, fiery clouds surrounded him, making him look like an immortal amidst flames.

“Tang Luo managed to ambush me due to my carelessness three years ago, and he dares to look down on me now. He even set up this ‘Twelve Constellations’ nonsense. All these fighters in the ring, they’re nothing more than wandering warriors picked up from the refugees. Do they really think they’re worthy of fighting me?”

A patient housekeeper looked at the destroyed intelligence on the ground, counseling earnestly, “Young Master, the master always said that the Fire Spirit physique and the lineage of the Fire God are extraordinarily powerful abilities, but they require a superior intellect to control. Please don’t let the influence of your lineage cloud your judgment.”

The combination of a Fire Spirit physique along with the lineage of the Fire God was a supreme combination never before seen in the world. But without yin, yang won’t grow. With the double fire lineage Xiao Ziyu had, he gained incredible power but also endured unimaginable agony.

Qutang City, inside the Martial Hall

The disciples of the First Cultivation Ground gathered around chief instructor Tang Yao after completing their cultivation sessions, chattering excitedly.

“Chief instructor, there’s talk of a Youth Martial Arts Conference in Longzhou going around outside. Are you going to participate?”

“Chief instructor, does our ‘Twelve Constellations’ contest here seem tough? I’m thinking of giving it a try!”

“Chief instructor…”

If other city’s martial halls enroll wandering warriors and willing civilian youths, then Qutang City serves as a gathering place for various established families. After Tang Luo’s relinquishment of the competition for the position of the clan’s young master two years ago, Qutang’s City leader Tang Yao has become the unique choice for those families hoping to gain more glory. They send their youngsters to the Martial Hall of Qutang City, hoping that one day these kids could act as Tang Yao’s team.

Facing the flattering ways of these families, an ambitious Tang Yao naturally did not refuse. He considered these people as his future subordinates and fostered them with a level of intimacy beyond that usually afforded between ordinary instructors and disciples.

However, today, facing the inquiries of these young disciples, usually kindhearted Tang Yao wore a grim expression, refusing to put on a facade.

July 12th, Less Heat Day

In only two days, Cui Dayou had finished constructing the stages in the three cities. This speed greatly surpassed Tang Luo’s expectations.

“How did you manage to do it?” Tang Luo asked, surprised. He thought it would take at least eight to ten days to complete the job, but it was finished much sooner. Thus, he wondered if Cui Dayou had some secret method.

“You are too kind, master,” said Cui Dayou, humility in his bloodshot eyes. “I haven’t done anything extraordinary. I simply rented three battle arenas in the cities that had over twelve stages and had them slightly renovated. I hope this doesn’t delay the selection and training of your team.”

Cui Dayou’s task was not as simple as his words suggested. For a martial artist to have bloodshot eyes from exhaustion, it surely required a tremendous amount of effort.

“You have done a great job. Leave the rest to the three elders from Du’s family and the Righteous Gang. You should go back and rest.”

“Following your commands.”

Ancient wise men used to observe the stars, and divided the celestial equator into twelve equal sections, called the “Twelve Constellations,” from west to east. They are: Stellar Ji, Black Jiao (Xiao), Beautiful Zizi (Ju Zi), Xiang Lou, Big Beam, Real Sinking, Quail Head, Quail Fire, Quail Tail, Longevity Star, Big Fire, Xishi Wood. ŕἈℕồ𐌱Ěs̈

The tournament in the three cities named after the Twelve Constellations was a sensation, attracting all the spectators from the six cities of Lingjiang. Not to mention that the stages that were thought to take a month to set up were already open on the twelfth. This speedy opening, accompanied by non-stop rumors, once again caused an uproar, becoming the largest event on both sides of Lingjiang.

The wandering warriors and gamblers from the six cities all gathered in Lanshan City, Qutang City, and Boma City. The arenas were packed. The normally quiet cities were now buzzing with an energy that was infectious. Luckily, the Righteous Gang was well staffed, so they could prevent the arenas from turning chaotic.

With the introductions of the Fierce Realm elders from the Du family, twelve young men wearing masks entered the stage. The highly anticipated Twelve Constellation Challenge was officially underway.

Each member of the Marshal Star Pavilion who stepped onto the stage was excited. After all, this was the first order they had received since joining the Pavilion. They all tried their best to kick all the challengers off the stage.

Don’t misunderstand, they didn’t do this to prove their strength to Director Tang Luo or the First Star General Du Sha, they were just afraid of losing their privileges.

The manager, Cui Dayou, made it very clear that this was the first order from Director Tang Luo to the Marshal Star Pavilion. If anyone failed or tarnished the Pavilion’s reputation, he would reduce the Pavilion’s resources. A group of useless people didn’t deserve to squander resources.

At first, the members of the Marshal Star Pavilion were somewhat timid about the challenge. But once Dayou spoke, they were all roused. These two years, they had been living the dream life they always wished for. For the first time in years, they felt alive.

Whether it was the wandering martial artists who came for the challenge, or the so-called sons of prestigious families, anyone who wanted to ruin their good days was an unforgivable enemy. After Du Sha finished selecting the star generals from the three cities, each masked member of the Marshal Star Pavilion was determined: even if they died on the stage, they would not let the challengers pass easily.

Pass through the twelve constellations? In your freaking dreams!

In Lanshan City, the first noble son who stepped onto the stage had an arm torn off by the Star General of Xishi Wood Pavilion. Blood splattered all over the stage. The medics lifted the screaming noble son down from the Stage, while the masked Star General threw the severed arm aside and coldly said, “Next!”

This cruel and bloody scene excited the audience. But those who wanted to sign up for the challenge felt a chill in their hearts. According to their investigations, this so-called Marshal Star Pavilion was filled with wandering martial artists picked up from the refugees in Red Cloud Mountain by Tang Luo. They were just a rabble.

In normal times, the nobles would not even bother to give these people a glance. But just moments ago, the Star General of the weakest Xishi Wood Pavilion defeated a strong martial artist, creating an atmosphere distinct from before.

It seemed that this ‘Twelve Constellation Challenge’ wasn’t as easy to break through as they had thought.

At this moment, the owner of the Star Pavilion who had just woken up, was sitting in the spectator area with the recently rested House Manager. Watching as the Star General of Xishi Wood Pavilion effortlessly defeated another challenger, Tang Luo scratched his chin in confusion.

If my memory serves me right, the masked Star General on the stage must be Jin San Zhua. He was an honest and straightforward fellow. How did he become so violent in just a few years?
