Chapter 2991: Advancement
Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Over the past month, Fang Heng had been meditating and cultivating in the Death Realm, condensing orbs through his mental strength.
Today, finally, he advanced!
Fang Heng once again closed his eyes, sensing the explosive growth of spirit and will attributes within his body.
With the enhancement from his will attribute and the skill itself, he felt that his soul had become terrifyingly powerful.
In addition, his mental strength had skyrocketed.
Fang Heng stretched out his hand.
The surrounding undead aura rapidly condensed in his palm, forming a black spherical body.
The black orb, about the size of an egg, contained an extremely terrifying power.
Fang Heng gently tossed the orb into the air.
Whoosh!
"Boom!!"
The orb exploded violently in the sky. The aura of death burst out, enveloping an area of several hundred meters in a thick atmosphere of the Death Realm.
With the significant increase in mental strength, Fang Heng felt his strength had once again experienced explosive growth.
Fang Heng took a deep breath and looked down to examine the skill descriptions.
Super God-level.
He hadn’t expected that beyond God-level necromancy, there would be a further level-Super God-level. Perhaps even the Undead Council didn’t know about this.
Moreover, it seemed that the Super God-level was the final stage. This tier could be upgraded infinitely, with each level further enhancing will, spirit attributes, and soul strength.
However...
Fang Heng slightly furrowed his brow.
The conditions for skill upgrades seemed rather strange.
It wasn’t about absorbing various energies like before, but rather expanding the Black Fog World?
How was he supposed to expand the Black Fog World?
With questions in his heart, Fang Heng continued to browse further.
After advancing to Super God-level necromancy, he gained several additional skills.
Additional skill 1: Underworld Seal.
Skill description: Select a target and impact its soul, sending it into the Death Realm to enter a reincarnation state (usable only in Black Fog zones).
Cooldown time: 60 minutes.
Additional skill 2: Underworld Orbs (24/24).
Skill description: Orbs condensed from the power of the Death Realm. They could now complete a spiritual construct with the player, absorb Death Realm energy during combat, and automatically assist the player. Each orb increased necromancy skill effect by 3.3%, and added 33 strength points, 33 physique points, and 33 agility points. If destroyed, they could be re-condensed in the Death Realm.
Additional skill 3: Death Realm Descent (Domain-type skill).
Skill description: Summon the descent of the Death Realm. The environment would be enhanced, adding an extra 5000% soul pressure in the domain. Enemies within the domain would continuously suffer the effects of reincarnation. Duration and range of the domain depended on the player’s spirit attribute.
Cooldown time: 6 hours.
Fang Heng carefully examined everything.
There weren’t many skills, only three, but each was extremely powerful. Also, the cooldown time for Death Realm Descent was only six hours, relatively short for such a powerful ability.
Not to mention the Underworld Orbs, he had spent more than half a month condensing.
They were somewhat similar to the orbs from his previous God of the Underworld state, but the death energy within them was on a whole different level.
They didn’t even need to participate directly in combat—just operating around him passively granted tremendous attribute bonuses.
As for the specific effects of each skill, they would still need to be tested in actual combat.
Fang Heng stood up and looked around.
But weren’t the orbs orbiting his body a bit too conspicuous?
With a single thought, the twenty-four Underworld Orbs rapidly spun and seemingly merged into his body, leaving behind black imprints on his skin.
That was much more low-key.
His closed-door cultivation ended.
Fang Heng walked out of the hall and took a deep breath of the fresh air outside.
After resolving the Death Realm trouble, he had also broken through the lock in the real world, mastering all his abilities. Especially after advancing to Super God-level necromancy, all his attributes experienced explosive growth again. In the Black Fog Game environment, he could even revive after death, greatly increasing his fault tolerance.
But now was not the time to relax—there was still one major threat.
The demonic seed—Jealousy.
With his current strength, could he choose to strike first and battle Jealousy?
Fang Heng perceived his sea of consciousness.
With his power enhanced, the shadow left by the Jealousy demonic seed in his consciousness had almost no influence on him.
No, he would wait a bit longer.
He needed to make sure to strike with full force, not giving Jealousy the demonic seed even a sliver of a chance!
...
In the real world.
After the Western District Federation and the Eastern Federation had clashed once in the game, both sides tacitly retreated to the real world.
The spawns’ Star Map Project suddenly announced a halt in operations. The Western District Federation would temporarily maintain the current progress of the Star Map construction while calling for all major federations to remain calm.
The entire world was facing threats from the Black Fog and external forces—choosing infighting at this time would be extremely foolish.
The outside world had become immune to this shameless rhetoric from the Western District Federation. After all, they were the ones who started the Star Map Project, and now they were calling for calm?
Players were more focused on why the Western District Federation suddenly made a 180-degree turn in attitude.
Only those involved knew the truth—the Western District Federation had been scared senseless.
No joke.
The Eastern Federation already had a fleet of warships!
And it was all because of Fang Heng.
It could be foreseen that Fang Heng and the Eastern Federation were far superior in the hierarchy of the spawns.
Once the Star Map was completed, who would call the shots in this world?
It would obviously be the Eastern Federation.
Wouldn’t that make them look like clowns?
Their original intention was to leverage the power of the spawns to become the overlords of the world. Now, they were helping the Eastern Federation carry the sedan chair—doing all the work for someone else’s gain?
Of course, the Western District Federation was not happy about that.
They didn’t dare offend the spawns, but they didn’t want to be used either, so they began to drag things out, pushing back the Star Map construction timeline.
The spawns seemed to have noticed the deliberate delay from the humans and expressed dissatisfaction, urging them repeatedly.
The Western District Federation just kept apologizing and nodding with smiles, claiming they understood but refused to take action.
With the Western District Federation halting the Star Map construction, tensions among the factions didn’t decrease; instead, the incident heightened the competition to cultivate powerful players.
The Central Federation, in coordination with regional federations, further loosened restrictions on the "locks."
All major factions were now seeking breakthroughs in power within the game.
As a result, the world of vampires became a highly desirable treasure trove in the eyes of many players.
The fastest way to achieve explosive growth was through the Vampire Bloodline.
Players even called it the new generation of fully automatic wheelchairs.
Once someone obtained the Vampire Bloodline, it was practically a shortcut to ascension!
Coincidentally, the vampires also released a mysterious special mission line.
The Main Battlefield Project.
Players could board vampire warships and travel to various special worlds to complete commissioned missions, including ore collection. By accumulating points, they could exchange them for a range of in-game items.
Some of which even included the extremely rare Vampire Bloodline!
