Chapter 2627 - 2628: More Truth

"Your power when you were born could have been so strong this entire planet might have died," Michael explained, her eyes shining brightly. "You still seem to not understand what an Overseer is, Frank. They're beings that have ascended beyond Universes. They roam the Outerverse freely and travel across the Dimension and even between Dimensions, if they're powerful enough."

"…" Frank was left speechless, all these things made him feel strange, even more when this world felt so far away from all of that crazy space stuff.

"I suppose… it still too early for these things to be explained," Michael sighed. "I'm sorry for shocking you, but I was trying to explain things to you, so you can begin to understand who you truly are."

"I mean… Uh, thanks? Not like it's going to help me out right now though," Frank sighed. "It's… hard to believe either way."

"I know you may feel that way," nodded Michael.

"So the System is part of this power? But wasn't it sealed?" Frank asked.

"Yes, your power is sealed, and it is being unsealed slowly as the system progresses alongside you," Michael explained. "The System is a Trait, a powerful Ability that connects you to the Root and its Primordial Records, they come in many Ranks, yours might be at least Universal-Rank. It means it can affect an entire Universe… The System must have arisen as a way for you to slowly regain your powers. If this is either a manifestation of the sealed powers desiring to be unsealed, or your father's doing… I am not sure. But it could be either of the two. I would like to believe it was your father who set it up for you. That random Lightning Bolt that hit you at night, the connection your power has with your phone, it might have been your father's plan all along."

"A-Ah… Okay… I… totally understand the implications of that," Frank muttered. "Uuh… Fucking hell. So my father wasn't an asshole then? But why isn't he here?"

"I don't know, Overseers are very protective of their children…" Michael said. "I've known of those that have ended entire Universes because of their children being harmed or kidnaped. But… maybe something happened to your father. Someone did something to him, it isn't natural for him to escape. Or perhaps, he did so to protect you. To make whoever persecuted him think you and your mother had no importance and were simply specks of dust amidst the vast universes. So you wouldn't be harmed… by forces you couldn't understand yet."

"But why… Why did… dad get with a normal human woman like mom then? If he was so strong, what drove him to do something so crazy?" Frank wondered.

Michael smiled at Frank.

"Perhaps… I would like to think, your father was tired." Michael said, sitting on the bed.

"Tired?" Frank walked to her side, as he sat by her side, and she began caressing his hair, comforting him.

"Yes, my dear. When you reach such a level of power, when you become someone beyond universes, the world… everything might feel rather dull, after eons," Michael sighed. "There's a feeling of hopelessness that appears within your soul. And then, we even begin to envy the simple pleasures of mortals. Their normal lives, their little hardships, the food they eat, and… the love they experience. Building a family, having a child…"

"…"

Frank looked down, realizing that his mindset about his dad might have been wrong this entire time…

"Dad…"

He felt like crying a little, but he held back, he didn't want to look weak or childish in front of Michael, calming down, and accepting things more maturely.

"I get it… Maybe that's the case…" Frank nodded. "Thank you for helping me out so far, Michael. Understanding my powers… and dad… Honestly, you've answered so many of my questions already. Of whom I truly was and all of that… Hahah…"

"You're welcome," Michael said. "But don't let this knowledge get into your head, Frank. Your mother, and you, are still human. Mortals. You lack the power of a true Overseer, and you shouldn't suddenly cut your ties with the people that loves you or abandon your own humanity and emotions because of knowing all of this. You're yourself, Frank. Nobody can take that away from you."

"White…" Frank felt moved.

"I am sure your father… He wanted you to experience what being a normal human being was, with both its difficulties and its joys," Michael said. "Maybe because he left, a lot of bad things happened to you… But this too, is what has shaped you into who you are, a really kind person that understands other people's pain. It was after all, thanks to your kindness, that I and my brothers are here. Without that empathy that the hardships of life taught to you, we wouldn't be here."

"Empathy, huh? Is this why I ended choosing Humility then?" Laughed Frank.

"Yes, Courage can be also amazing, and Wisdom is important, but… Humility is special, it is a path that, obviously, only those that care about others would take," Michael smiled. "Maybe this world has encouraged you to think that being kind is bad, that the world is not shaped for those that desire to help others… but that's simply wrong. The world, human society, moves forward with the cooperation of everyone together. The fundamentals of humanity, and why you've been brought to this point, are all because of your kindness, your cooperation, and your empathy. I believe… and I might sound a little optimistic, that humanity's greatest gift is their Empathy… And well, Love, where all of such things come from."

Frank felt moved by such words, he had to admit it, angels were amazing at motivational talks.

"Thank you White… I'm alright now," Frank laughed. "You really love talking, don't you?"

"Ah, spare me the comments, I have been sealed for eons, let me speak my mind for a bit, will you?" Michael giggled adorably. "Now, dear, let's begin. We shall create the strongest Heavenly Angelic Spear we can make for you. It'll be marked by all seven of us, becoming very unique in the process."

"Alright, so I infuse the energy into it and that's it? We don't need any other materials?" Frank asked. "Usually in these cases… You would need something legendary like Mithril or Orichalcum! Right?"

"Hahah, such metals cannot compare to the Cosmic Power of an Overseer's son," said Michael. "I'll guide you towards what we must forge, we will do it with our power and nothing else."
