The male staff member with wavy hair immediately put down his phone and greeted her with a professional smile.

"Your information card, please."

Qiao Sang handed over her card.

He placed it on the scanner without looking up.

"What updates do you need for your pet beast?"

"My Flame Hound evolved. I need to update its information." Qiao Sang replied.

Unlike before, she didn’t summon her pet beast immediately. Advanced pet beasts were typically medium to large-sized. While it wasn’t an issue during off-peak hours, summoning such a large creature in a crowded hall could disrupt order.

To maintain order, the Beast Center had strict rules: Pet beasts over three meters tall could not be summoned in the main hall. If an update involved verifying advanced-level beasts, a designated room was required.

The female staff member with a bun perked up, her ears catching the word Flame Hound. She snapped her head up, staring wide-eyed at the girl standing outside the window.

What did she just say? Updating Flame Hound’s information?!

The wavy-haired staff member looked up simultaneously, their expressions perfectly synchronized in disbelief.

The male staff member’s pupils constricted, his mind racing with shock and confusion. He quickly glanced at the computer screen displaying the information.

"Please follow me!" The male staff member's eyes lit up as he stood abruptly, urgency evident in his tone.

"Sure." Qiao Sang nodded, following him to the first room at the end of the left corridor on the ground floor.

Well, this name wasn’t actually my idea, it’s from the system, but I can see why people love hearing compliments, Qiao Sang thought, smiling bashfully.

"You flatter me."

Once they were done buttering her up, the female staff member hesitated for a moment before asking cautiously, “Could I get an autograph?”

“I want one too!” The male staff member quickly added.

Wow, people already want my autograph? I’m not used to this, Qiao Sang thought, scratching her head, a bit shy.

"Alright."

The two staff members were elated.

“Wait for me! I’ll grab ink and paper!” The female staff member dashed off.

“Get me some paper too!” The male staff member called after her.

Ink? Qiao Sang was momentarily confused. Something felt off.

Three minutes later.

The female staff member returned, carrying a huge tray of blue ink and a shirt.

"I couldn’t find paper big enough for Blazing Star Canine’s pawprints, so I figured it could sign my shirt instead!"

She placed the items on the floor, looking expectantly at Yabao.

“…”

Oh. So the autograph is for Yabao… Qiao Sang thought, utterly speechless.

After leaving the Beast Center, Qiao Sang remembered the diamond gloves for her Littl Treasure and searched for the largest jewelry store in Kainan City on her phone. The store was about 11 kilometers away.

Instead of taking a taxi, she enlarged the map on her phone and held it up to Little Treasure.

“Can you teleport us there?”

Over the past two days, Qiao Sang had noticed a glaring flaw in her pet’s spatial shift ability: It had terrible accuracy. If the destination was visible, he could teleport just fine. But if the coordinates required mental visualization, he always missed the mark.

Last night, she had equipped her pet with a dual-direction tracker necklace from her stash of tools, ensuring she wouldn’t have to report him as lost.

Although spatial shift was a high-level skill, she was willing to keep training him occasionally. Not that I want to experience the thrill of waking up one minute before class and teleporting straight to school or anything…

“Xun~” Little Treasure inspected the map confidently and nodded, indicating he could do it.

Moments later, his paw touched Qiao Sang, and the world went dark.

When her vision returned, she found herself beside an indoor swimming pool, surrounded by people in bikinis and swim trunks, all staring at her in surprise.

Heart pounding, Qiao Sang barely had time to gasp before her surroundings shifted again. When she opened her eyes, she was in a minimally decorated room.

She let out a deep breath, leaning against the wall. I’m alive…

“Xun!” Little Treasure chirped, determined to get it right next time.

Before he could act, Qiao Sang grabbed his paw.

“Give me a moment…”

Who wouldn’t need a moment to recover after almost getting run over?

Suddenly, the sound of a door opening reached her ears, followed by approaching footsteps.

Someone was back.

Before she could command Little Treasure to teleport again, a man’s irritated voice came from outside the door:

“Who said Qiao Sang was bound to lose? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have arranged for her to face Ruan Yunwen! Now Shengshui High is stealing all the spotlight!”
