The whole thing was a spectacle that no one expected to watch as it happened with no warning or so whatever. The fight between the God Ranks was underwhelming, but it gave a long-lasting impression. The power of the Tang Empire, a true powerhouse of their Earth.
The King of the Whitney Kingdom and The President of the North Federation were crushed in an unimaginable way. The Emperor approached them, and then the ten Demi-God Ranks fell to the ground.
No one would mock them because everyone got to taste the power as well, the overwhelming aura that pressured them. More than half of the people in the gate fell on their knees. Only people with strong will and high ranking could remain standing in the face of the Emperor’s aura.
Another thing that shocked everyone was the twenty God Ranks that beat the fourteen God Ranks from the Gondar Alliance. Eighteen of them disappeared as if they never existed. There were a few speculations that they were Tang Shaoyang’s summons, but people wanted to believe that the God Ranks were too fast for them to track.
They did not want to imagine that a God Rank had God Rank summons as well. They wished those twenty God Ranks were a secret force of the Tang Empire. If Tang Shaoyang had God Ranks summons, it meant The Emperor was invincible. How were they supposed to catch up with someone like that?
The battle aside, everyone witnessed The King of the Kingdom of Sand getting dragged by the dark-skinned demon. The horns, the black eyes, and the dark skin told everyone that the two who followed Gaius Barbarossa were demons.
Igmar was getting dragged by one of the demons by the neck, and no one sympathized with him. He brought twenty God Ranks to Earth, and they could imagine what would happen if The Emperor did not kill those twenty God Ranks. The Gondar Alliance would take over Earth, and they would be forced to disband the factions and join the Gondar Alliance.
That would be worse than the current situation, even though they found out today that no one would be able to contend with the Tang Empire. At least they still had their freedom, and the Tang Empire would not bother them as long as they did not start something stupid against it.
Regardless of what the factions found about the Tang Empire today, regardless of their concerns for the future, regardless of their opinions on what happened today, everyone got the message. This was what would happen to them if they tried to mess up the Tang Empire. The message was loud and clear.
Tang Shaoyang returned to the city, and the crowd split into two, creating a path for The Emperor. The Tang Empire’s people joined him, following him from behind. The crowd remained as they looked at the receding figures.
As The Emperor returned to the dimensional tower, the attention returned to the ten figures near the wall. They were curious about what happened to Victor Brent Whitney and Collin Morton.
Two groups from prospective factions rushed out of the city as soon as The Tang Empire was out of the city. They helped up the ten people and gave them the healing potion.
The first one to stand up was Collin Morton. His chest heaved up and down, looking around in panic, trying to locate The Emperor the moment he was back on his feet. His shoulder slumped in relief when he could not find The Emperor.
Collin Morton closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm down after his near-death experience. He never experienced something like that before. The Emperor walked toward him, and he felt mountain-like pressure on his body. He collapsed, his head was buzzing, but his mind was clear, and remembered everything.
Victor Brent Whitney also stood up. The darkness clouded his expression, his eyes emotionless, and yet his hands were still trembling. His heart was still thumping wildly, and this would become his core memories for the rest of his life. He believed that he might not be able to get rid of the shadow in his heart even if he reached a God Rank.
“We better focus on our strength and expand to other worlds. I think it’s even better if we leave Earth than staying with that monster,” Those were the first words coming out from Victor. A single mistake whether it was intentional or accidental, The Emperor would no longer show mercy toward them.
Collin Morton was surprised to hear that from Victor Brent Whitney. The Whitney Kingdom had shown their arrogance and aloofness even toward their peers and never showed fear even when they created The United Alliance to oppose the Tang Empire and the Earth Alliance. A single moment changed the man’s perspective.
“I am not sure about moving out of Earth. I don’t think our people will agree to that, but we can talk it out with The United Sovereign and the other big factions. No, we must talk to them before they surrender to the Tang Empire.”
Both tried to walk as they chatted, but their legs were still wobbly. Their hands could not stop trembling as their mind kept recalling what they experienced against The Emperor. The kick might be humiliating, but whatever suppressed them was way worse than humiliation in front of their subordinates and thousands of people.
“Send The United Sovereign, The Kingdom of Napoles, and the Mecaya Kingdom an invitation for a meeting. We need to discuss our next step,” Victor ordered one of his people, “Maybe an alliance like The Gondar Alliance and The Etherna Alliance is better for our situation.”
“What do you think about the God Ranks who killed the people from the Gondar Alliance?” Collin Morton nodded at the suggestion, but there was something that bugged his mind. The twenty God Ranks that killed the fourteen God Ranks from the Gondar Alliance.
“I don’t recognize any of them. If we check the leaderboards, I am confident their names are not in the Absolute Rankings. They might be Tang Shaoyang’s summons,” Victor Brent analyzed it quickly as he checked the ranking, and nothing changed.
He did not know what Ophelius, Ophelia, Hemlin, Forlan, and Lunea looked like. However, he had seen Alton in seventh, Moonsong in eighth, and Zhang Mengyao in tenth. Based on the ranking, those twenty God Ranks were not real.
“Haven’t you heard about his ability to summon spirits? Maybe they are his spirits…” Victor’s voice trailed off as he was struck with a realization of what this meant, “He has twenty God Rank Spirits and maybe more. I am getting more and more convinced that we should leave Earth to another world. I don’t really like that we live under his mercy.”
Collin Morton had a bitter smile, but for some reason, he agreed with Victor Brent Whitney. If The Emperor had an army of God Ranks in his arsenal, then no matter how many God Ranks they had, they could not win against The Emperor.
Added to the Tang Empire’s people that had grown faster than most of them, he was not surprised if The Tang Empire was the first faction to have the first hundred God Ranks.
“Let’s discuss it with Herman. He might have an insight that we don’t,” He let out a bitter chuckle.
They were the leading figures from two biggest factions, but they were not ashamed of their loss. They kept their heads straight up even though a lot of people watched them.
